The update today has caused me to drop in FPS. I’m not sure by how much exactly. I just know that prior to the update, I was above 60 FPS on every map, all of the time. Most of my settings are on high. I have not changed any. I am now dipping into the 40’s. It’s dropping from well over 60 down into the 40’s randomly, and causing a very noticeable, frustrating lag.

Anyone else having this problem? I know the latest update was just for security, but it appears that something else has changed… Not sure. Maybe it changed some of my settings without me knowing? I checked, but it doesn’t look like it.

Thank you for any help!

EDIT: This could also be an issue with the newest Windows 10 update, which just happened to be on the same day. I believe my AMD drivers were also updated, but I’m not sure. Need to check everything out still.

Either the windows/driver update or placebo. That security update was strictly serverside and nothing has changed on the client, afaik.

Haven’t encountered performance drops myself tho, so I would say propably not the windows update.

It was strange. Pretty sure everything’s working now. I played a few games with the lag, and then restarted my computer and everything was working normally again. I didn’t have anything extra open, so I don’t know what it was. :no_mouth:

DB has shown in the past to drop in performance over prolonged sessions. Also FPS is heavily dependent on the networking performance, so off peak hours isusually a better, smoother experience.

I am on Win10 and AMD and haven’t experienced anything yet. I will check if my AMD drivers were updated though, can’t remember if I have auto-updates on.

I use w10 and a nvidia card, everything is updated & I have no problems with my fps. But one of my friends have this problem, too. Also I heared this problem discussed ingame by a lot of people. So it shouldn’t be only you.
