How exactly does “Thread Sync” aka “One Frame Thread Lag” work? I’m assuming it’s like the nVidia setting called “Pre-rendered Frames” in which it caches a set amount of frames in memory and don’t show you the latest frame in order to smooth out the intervall between frames at the cost of input latency. If this is the case for Thread Sync as well, how many frames is it allowed to cache? If it actually is as low as one frame, the FPS loss you’re taking can potentially lose you the same input latency you’re gaining by turning on this setting. If it’s higher than one though, that’s unlikely. Either way, I’d like to know.
