Thread about blocking RU/UA/BY players.

(dirtybomber) #21

no, u can not. destiny has bought right to publish the game in CIS and is doing everything to give the best experience possible to CIS players. while there are 10 people who won’t like the new speed, there will be 100 people who will.

(Kl3ppy) #22

It’s not mainly about the different game settings, it’s about the issue that CIS guys cant decide which game they want to play. They are forced to play their russian version and they cant play with EU/NA guys.

Can they bypass this Ip block somehow ?
must be a way

(Finko) #24

Yes, probably, that why i want to have choice. I don’t like DD version, i like Nexon’s version (not really like atm, but i hope it will be polished and fixed in future), so i want pay my moneys to Nexon, but Nexon don’t want my moneys

VPN works, but it causes +20-30, or even more, to ping.

(rookie1) #26

its isnt that bad then
so you can play on Nexon ?

Yeah, VPN works, but i fell myself like a criminal scum when i play with VPN:)

(rookie1) #28

whats your average ping when you playing at Nexon?(on EU server I presume)

(Finko) #29

100-120, but probably it can be better if find propper server in VPN settings.

(rookie1) #30

not bad …I Had 126 in US east server yesterday and im in East Canada :frowning:

(Dragonji) #31

You forgot SD allowed him to change the game.

(Nail) #32

I’m interested, are the Ru servers running or down, have they gone to beta or still in alpha ?

(dirtybomber) #33

been down for 2 weeks, i presume they are planning on launching CBT with content update that’s being released in the next week (thats what it think).

(Nail) #34

I believe the servers being down is a very good sign for our Russian brothers

(Ecano) #35

Split the comunity is a nonsemse. How are you going to handel it in ESL, CB etc if you’r aiming for a competitive game?

(Protekt1) #36

I know and that is exactly why we need to convince them to not eff around with it.

(Nail) #37

servers being down means a change

(Finko) #38

As i said before, this situation is not normal at all, at that moment we have two buged version, and SD must spend time to fix two versions instead making one well worked version. It’s really funny to see that bugs in one version is not tottaly fixed - but sd deciding to make another version of game that was tottaly unplayable on CIS, and Alpha 2nd stage in CIS was stoped after 4 days.
…why is their game balance different to the western version?!

We’ve partnered with the best companies we can in each region to publish the game and to use their local knowledge to make the game successful there…

Anton (Cooller) has been tweaking some of the movement and weapon stats in order to make something that suits the majority of players in Russia and CIS. It is Destiny’s final decision on whether they will stick to these changes. As Destiny are in charge of operating the game in Russia/CIS, any comments about the game should be directed to their Closed Beta forums

At this point, Destiny are publishing a version of the game called Dirty Bomb, and Nexon are publishing a version of the game called Extraction – the games will continue to be the same at their root, but with balance differences…

…will we be able to compete between regions?
We’ve always wanted to support competition between regions that are hosting the game, but this is obviously going to be difficult with different balance values between Dirty Bomb and Extraction. Destiny will be supporting Dirty Bomb as a competitive game within their operational region, and Nexon will do the same for Extraction in EU/North America/Australia/NZ. We’ll be working with Nexon and Destiny to investigate how to make cross region competition possible post-launch.
Paraphrased, emphasis mine.
