This type of hacker will utterly destroy this game....

Player was able to change his name at will (always using a name of one of the players on the other team). He was aimbotting, but I can’t even report them because innocent players might get banned (as he was using my name and all the names of the people who were on my team and who weren’t hacking).

I mean, come on splash damage how is this level of manipulation even possible? How can someone change their name to whatever they want in game, on the fly?

I now don’t even feel comfortable reporting hackers because who knows if their name is actually their name or just a name they decided to use (which belongs to another player who is totally innocent and has merely had their identity stolen).

Name changing like that is a steam feature, not a Dirty Bomb feature. Made possible by Valve, not Splash Damage.

You can still report them by providing the time and server to Nexon support. They will still be able to see the details of the match and catch the right person.

I doubt that the issue is plainly splash damage’s bad. With the steam overlay, you can find some very nasty cheat programs that also allow you to change your in game name. Ever heard of LMAObox ? Because that shit is spreading on source engine games like TF2 (a game known to contain none or very few cheaters), and it’ll most likely spread freaking everywhere. I wouldn’t be surprised to find the same kind of poop for the unreal engine 3.

I can’t even suggest anything to fight againt those dicks using cheats. I tried a long time ago, and it’s almost like trying to fight against a fireants.

In order to easily identify and report these kind of hackers we need a View Steam Profile button. That way we can view their specific and unique profile and report them that way, this will also make it a tonne easier for the people responsible for actually banning the accounts.

I believe that option is available in the lobby, just not during the match atm. I know you can do it for people on your friends list, but that is unrelated to this issue(doubt they would be on there :/).
