I wish we got snow here. Comming up to winter soon and all we get is rain. Summer is great when you get about four or five weeks of 35C+ everyday but only about 60% humidity.

This has everything to do with ET. If you change your class to Engi or Field Ops and hit the B key you can see the Rail Gun. It looks like the Allies have destryed the controls and are now planting the typical half a dozen or so land mines around the access points. The Axis are bringing the first tug back with the ammo just off to the left and there is still plenty of time to go :slight_smile:

It’s a new version of “Fuel Dump”. “Fuel dump, Qc” See? in the first picture, those 2 vertical poles on the right are part of a new type of tower structure.

Something just struck me earlier today, proibably occured to lots of others, that Fuel Dump is almost identical to the Forrest map in SP RTCW. Coincidence or did SD rip it off?

fattakin, unfortunately here being a French bastion, most people think that English is around to take over their nice little lives. So, consequently, most people don’t play ET or most games for that matter. Unless, there’s a French translation. I frankly think this is a perversion. I call them little people. Always those stupid feuds between them people. What’s called in French as “Les guerres de clochers”. It’s an expression and I don’t know if there’s a proper translation. “Bell towers wars”? Not that it matters anyway.

Didnt realise it would go as far as not playing something unless it had a french translation etc.

Consider this: The new city has about 210 000 people. Of those, I’d say maybe 10% know some English and I’d say maybe 2% are bilingual (English/French). I can undestand their point of view. I wouldn’t play a Chinese game… Problem is, Canada is not a Chinese / French country but an English / French country and most French speaking people (in small communities) are really afraid English speaking are there to overtake them. Some of them swear like crazy at tourists because they can’t speak the language… Can you imagine?!

How narrow minded can people get? Here’s how it works here: Gov forced the 3 biggest towns here to become one. Effectively putting the city population at 210 000. After 3 years, people are demanding to change the city’s name while others are asking to be separated. Since I’ve moved back here all I hear is about that and frankly it makes me mad. I ask them why the hell don’t you people work together to improve what you have instead of arguing like that!? Endless feuds bring absolutely nothing. Oh and they can’t answer my question. They just don’t like it… :eek: I could go on but the tangent would last way too long. Done ranting.

Heh Heh i guess people like to keep their identies but it does sound a bit like hell. Time to move to one of the big cities in Cananda methinks where people are progressive…
My country is made up of 2 communities who have hated and mistrusted each other for a long time now, even tho the violence is hopefully over, i think it will take generations before we reach a level of normality and trust!

I think SD started off making Fuel Dump using the terrain of Forest. Played that level a while back and it was pretty freaky, kept getting the “I’ve been here before” deja-vu feeling. Anyway I read something like that about the terrain. ONe good thing about the RTCW map though is, when you spawn into it as Allied soldier you don’t have to shake your head as you look around to see the rest of your team has changed class to Covert snipers, taking up their positions outside the front of the spawn hut. Yay! Another 30 minutes of pure pain!! :smiley:
