To my surprise the mailman just dropped off Brink 2 days early…YAY!
But here I am, staring at shiney new game, not able to play it :frowning:

damn, my copy will probly turn up 2moz for my 360 so I may not be able to play it either, can you play it offline just against bots cause that normally works

(madness) #3

so…it’s the mailmans fault… ?

(Senyin) #4

No, have to register with steam and in europe Brink is not unlocked on steam yet. =-(
I’m pretty sure you can play on your 360 unless there is also some reg I’m not aware of.

And yes, it’s the mailman’s fault, get him!

(Norb) #5

Ahh wasnt sure how the PC side worked exactly, I before have had to disconnect from online to be able to play a game that arrived a week early. Lynch him when he turns up 2moz

(Honelith) #6

Clearly the mailman forgot to notify Steam of your delivery. Silly, silly mailman,

I fear it is the same problem Direct2Drive.co.uk is having - oh boy, that will be many support tickets…

The Keys from UK will only activate within UK even though that was NOT advertised. D2D and Zenimax are working on a solution and have revoked all D2D-keys…

Wonder what they’ll do about the boxed copies…?

Damn, that’s a pretty big screw-up then - especially having to revoke all those keys. Hopefully they can get it straightened out before Friday - it’s not an unrealistic hope I’d say.

But did he knock twice though?

"Attention Direct2Drive UK BRINK Buyers:

We are aware of an issue with using your key if located outside the UK. We are working with Bethesda to resolve this.

You WILL get a key and download soon!

There is still plenty of time to download and get ready for May 13th!"

Yea, I am not worried about my preorder that much; just curious to see what happens with people who import the boxed copy…

(PopeTackler) #12

You’ll be able to play it. People in The Netherlands were able to buy Brink today from Free Record Shop and I’m currently in a party with one of my friends whose playing it on the 360.

The activation only affects PC.

So it’s good i didn’t preordered it from UK (mainland Europe here), but on steam ?
