Ok… but first, i need something… i need a target button to open a dor…

It is like a door with a button, but the button must be in another distance, that is no problem, but what I want it is that the single button activates with a firing

Let us say that I have a sniper in a good position aiming at the button, will not have the figure of a button, but it will be well like an terget, then when the sniper shoots to the center of the target, the door will be opened.

Ok. the main idea of my map is the next…

Are you already went to the school to play ET? No… Then you must do it…

My map is a school of military training for the ET players.

It is not a MOD, he is single a long, full map of tests, to construct, to shoot, to swim, to avoid, to run, to destroy, to look for, etc etc etc…

The objective is not to kill Axis/Allies… the objective is to do it first… In this field of training it will have of everything, water, ice, sand, rock, etc etc…

Something important here, is the TeamWork, without a TeamWork is not sure that you win… you have a clan? Think about it…

I must admit that I am not good in this for making maps… but this idea I have been having it for a long time and I want to do it this time…

I am thinking about doing it separately, i meen, Axis in one side and Allies in another side, the same tests, such challenges, but each one of its side…

But, also a little more wide would be interesting to make a single side both and team iin the same side, this will have a more competitiv, so that Axis and Allies could go shoot, but to my to see this will be a serious mess (But Fun!! jajaja)…

What yout think about it???

I made a map like this several years ago for Team Fortress Classic, where there where 10 different rooms with different tasks to complete to be able to get out of that room and back to the main hall and into the next room.

The only things that can can be triggered by shooting at them is doors and func_explosives and script_mover.

So create a func_door give it some ‘health’ and target a ‘target_script_trigger’ that in the script does what u want to do when the target is hit (open a door, make the next target visible or count some points.

Or do create a func_explosive with targetname and scriptname and in the ‘death’ part of the script for that entity call in the functions u want to have when the target is destroyed.

script_mover can be used but they can only be damaged by explosives as far as i know.

Ok, Thanks for the info, i will try to do something like that, I am not sure to be able to make it, but with which you say to me I have some idea of how to do it…

I hope to be able to do it, when it has a little more advanced i will show it… in this case there are no only rooms with tests, here there will be a training field, where engineers needed to construct to be able the team to advance, artillerymen to destroy to be able to advance, medics to help to pass the tests, CVOPS to activate the doors by means of Targets (i dont hace another option for them… any idea?) and Fields Ops of course for the ammo…there will be a room plenty of boxes, that they will have to destroy to find the doors, but the doors only will be opened with buttons who will be also hidden between the boxes, and a button can be down but the door that will open can be the one of above… in the part of ice… if you have played Metroid Prime, then you remembered that in sections you must shoot to the ice to drop a block of ice and be able to advance…the map also will have something similar, you needed to shoot to ice blocks in the ceiling and when they fall they will be able to advance… it is certain that there will be also spwnflags perhaps 2 or 3… one by each climate, but will be difficult to obtain…

and maybe more… but it is hard for a single person and novice… :smiley: :smiley: :banghead:
