This game needs class restrictions

So in summary, you want every merc available for selection at all times, but only one of each kind at a time. Additionally you want to play dressups with those mercs.
You have described Overwatch.
Just FYI CS:GO is not free to play, nor was TF2 originally, nor does Splash Damage have a massive distribution platform to skim income off of to make ends meet. The ‘overpriced’ mercs are still free if you use in game credits, but if you can afford it buying a couple (or one of the packs) is a great way to financially thank Splash Damage for producing such a great game.
Instead, people seem content to complain about what you are given for free, and tell the developers that they need to hand you something else for free (that you could legitimately earn by playing the game without paying a cent) so that DIrty Bomb can be more like another game you like (another game which coincidentally possesses the most toxic ‘community’ of self centred dickheads ever seen in an FPS).
Sounds legit.

you say I’ve described Overwatch (which a lot of your bias seems to stem from) but I find that funny since you can just as easily say I described TF2 or CS:GO or even call Overwatch a TF2 clone ¯_(ツ)_/¯. And using the TF2 was not originally free is just a desperate grab for any point to argue.

never mentioned anything about cs:go being free to play just said its cosmetic system would be good for this game. and when I said every valve game that got F2P right I was thinking TF2 and Dota 2.

but your free to nitpick what I say and twist what you want out of it. Continue to think a more robust access to cosmetics and visual customization would not be good for the game.

I don’t beleive the status Que is cutting it, we now sit at a time where Splash owns a majority share of the games intellectual property rights (no more Nexon). To not drop the old loadout system (which trust me was probably a casino/RNG system enforced by Nexon in the past) for a more enjoyable and fulfilling inventory of gear and weapon skins is just stubbornness.

I have over 700$ worth of stuff in my Dota 2 inventory.
I say splash needs to make the hard calls and embrace this change.

also its funny if you think this game does not have its own toxic players LOL

How would it work if literally ALL of the players in your 3 have been picked when you go to spawn, do you just sit in limbo?

In an earlier thread I suggested to exclude certain mercs from the single merc rule, mostly medics and engineers. Combine that with a rule that every player has to bring at least one medic or engineer and you’re guaranteed to be able to join.

The classic loadout for inexperienced player then would be Vassili + Phantom + Aura/Proxy. So in practice on a 7 vs 7 server you end up with a team of 1 Vassili, 1 Phantom, 2 Proxies and 3 Auras. Once such a team tried to take down the EV on Chapel, they either stop playing the game or consider other mercs as an option.
