This game need a serious optimization

There are a lot of threads about this problem: “optimization”
All we need is not a big one, but just a little one, just to match the requirement. Because, I agree I’ve not a new PC, but it’s not a potato one. I can play “MGS:The phantom pain” with beautiful graphics (well optimized game). And it’s not like Dirty Bomb has ultra realistic graphics. With settings at minimal, I expect running the game at least at 60FPS, but I just get 30.
Few months ago, I ran the game at constant 60 FPS. Why, updates after updates, the game’s optimization fall down.

Seriously SD, try to work a bit on this issue. @Exedore was saying in “the boosters Work as Intended” stream that you were aware of the problem (optimization). Can we expect an ETA of this work, or you want keep this as a secret ?
I love this game and I just want to be able to play it at good constant FPS.

They are more focused on getting content into the game. We wont have any optimization updates until they have polished what they want the core game to be.

With the rate at which we get updates, the team isn’t that big. They wont focus on it since it takes time to do. I wouldn’t expect to see any opimization updates till the game releases, if it ever does get out of beta.

SD should take a look at how Doom is optimized…and learn from it ^^

The problem is DB is stuck with the UE3 engine which really limits what can be done. I doubt this game will ever be optimized like a lot of new releases (such as ow and doom).

It might be optimized for other cards, but if gtx 770 can’t get stable 60 fps on LOW settings 1080p (w/ the resolution quality thingy on 90%), I don’t think thats well optimized game…
[To be clear, it runs 60+ most of the time, but there are drops in certain areas to about 40 fps. Mostly on later levels]

That game has a TON of crazy issues with PC’s right now. It’s all over the board.

Most of the time when people suddenly get an FPS loss it’s because their shooterengine.ini file was reset (which is why I always keep mine read only…same for my UI and binds). I’d wager you have Oneframethreadlag (I think that’s the name of the setting) set to false in the ini file.

Or your system developed some heat issues which is extremely common despite how many people say they aren’t overheating (virtually everyone at first).
