ive been a long time member of the Bethesda forums and it now just comes down to bashing both the devs. splash damages and Bethesda and 'im getting tired of it so i just wanted to know if this forum was the same i know people have there own option but being 2/3s of the topics being started its just annoying.
this forum VS. the B.forum
There are still some fans here, but bitter disappointment still seems to run rife within these threads.
…Welcome…
Yeah, people go completely south even though it’s only a game. They ragepost as if SD and Beth just brought in the destruction of the world.
Poor fellows. They need to move on and get a life. That’s what they get for idolizing a game anyway. Idolizing anything is stupid anyway and is a sign of people lacking real directions in their life.
The rage has gone far past the dissapointment of risking money on a new title.
Critical threads that are constructive are fine and even welcomed. Raging QQ threads are a waste of internet ink.
Everyone buys a game they don’t like. It’s unfortunate but the raging doesn’t do anything but make the rager look like an idiot or a troll.
If you’re really upset then vote with your money and do more research before you buy your next game.
Also please note that your ATI issues are bugs with the ATI drivers. SD cannot do anything about it. Complain on the ATI forums about how bad their drivers are.
Ragin on the devs forums kinda leaves an impression for future buyers not to buy the game, thus vote with money.
Not their money, but bad word of mouth can have an impact too

Not many future buyers go to the dev’s forums to decide if they like the game. In fact, even after buying a game a tiny percentage of people actually go to the forums.
Raging on forums is nothing but a selfish need for cathartic release 90% of the time.

Who said that I don’t like this game ?
I LIKE THIS GAME !
But it’s unplayable because framerate sucks like I never saw …
And for graphics who sucks too …
I CANT PLAY THIS GAME that’s why my 35 euros are in my ass …
And next Splash damage game, not for me that’s sure !
Except if it’s free game
Go read the Rahdo thread to see a pretty good snapshot of what it’s like here.
For me the only real problem I have is a lack of content in terms of maps.
Although I picked up the Limited Edition from GAME for £10 just recently I’d have been a bit annoyed about the lack of content had I paid £30. To be clear I still think the game’s worth £30 as am throughly enjoying it + what is included is top notch, but only 8 maps seems a bit tight even considering their high quality.
Sorry to hear about the ATI issues, I upgraded a while back to a GTX 480, but prior to that tried three ATI 5870s (2GB). They all had problems (grey screen of death) with many games and the support forums were a joke. As I say I tried three (!!!) cards and all had the same issue. Driver fixes just didn’t work although ATI were aware of the problem… Back with the green team and plain sailing since (touch wood!). Can’t imagine going back to ATI/AMD ever at this point my experience was so bad. I don’t know what the deal is with the issues concerning Brink, but I just don’t like or trust ATI after that experience. With the 480 my frame rate’s really great, all settings maxed (other than SSAO) @ 2560x1600 despite my other components being pretty old now.
Sad reading these forums just how down most people seem to be about the game generally. I think it’d be a real shame if we don’t see more content and support for Brink - It’s been quite a while since I’ve enjoyed an FPS so much (+ I’m a big fan of the genre).
I’m happy to pay for more maps as DLC, I just hope they get made.
Here is a fan forum run by Brink fans. We actually like the game despite its various faults.
