This error is random, frequent, and makes me want to quit

Any tips?

What I’ve done:

  1. Verify/validate using steam - THAT failed. Ha…
  2. Un-installed and reinstalled, completely - as in deleted the documents shooter game stuff as well and any other areas I could find.
  3. NOT used my shooterUI, that hasn’t helped either.

Is this NOT client related, is it an ID10T error, or a video card issue? Because I’m seriously sick of this. I don’t need to try and log in to this game 10 times (not even joking) before I give up and do something else, and if there’s a way to fix it, I’d love that. I’ll also see if the whole resolution bug is gone yet or not, fudging change my audio (in game) and my game is rendered at 50%. Sick of that too.

Happened to me for the first time less than an hour ago. Maybe it’s on their end. Don’t know.

I get this some times too. It’s nothing wrong with your install. (I’ve never re-installed) The problem as I understand it, is with the connection to the authentication server, which fails for some reason. So the issue is with the network somewhere between the server and the client, or maybe the server.

I’ve gotten this recently trying to join CMM matches with a friend. Did some testing afterwards, every CMM match I tried to start ended in one of these errors. Haven’t found anything that helps it, but I don’t get them anywhere else.

I think they had some issues since last night. It became impossible to find a game with the CMM after midnight (west EU time) and a friend of mine was stuck for an uncommon long time on the “signing in” screen.

So, after a patch today it seems to have gone away, or it was literally just them experiencing a lot of issues recently. The thing is I’ve had this problem the last 3 or so days, but no where near as frequent as it was yesterday.

Thanks all for helping, and shooterui nor install was the issue, no idea what the issue was to this date.

Well as long as it’s working, I had a similar issue, and after an update, it disappeared for me to. So idk what causes it really.

Nope… I still get it every now and then… but yeah… less frequent.

I took IT/Net+ vocational school while still in High School and came out at the top of class triple certified under PC pro, Microsoft Associate Tech, and Comptia A+; you read that correctly. I was asking is this my fault in technical 1337 5p34k. Kudos on seeing that.

!ID10T errors are a technical jargon, and whether or not you know what it stands for, you at least see that it says “idiot.”
