But for that you have to get out of the silver pool ^^’
Damn you, making me play for that green green grass!

im LOVING the new ranked mode, since after placementmatches and reaching gold wvery single game was tight and full of high skill players

I understand that there is a small population queueing, max skill scearch is always running, but I don’t understand why the 10 players picked are never balanced between teams. I placed in s2 and it took 51 (52 if I count the win that wasn’t recorded) to get to s1.
Last season I had a 3.0ish w/l mostly solo-queueing, now I’m sitting 29-1-21. That 1 tie was just about the only gg I had. Countless 4v5s, steamrolls, and surrenders aren’t helping the ranked population.
This is vaguely my experience. I took @neverplayserious’ advice from the other thread and will reiterate it here with perhaps my own interpretation:
Try going Fragger on maps with no EV, and take M92 Skyhammer or similar if you’re competent with the weapons (B81 Arty on Chapel works well and you can be a cheekym8 with the arty strike early on) on other maps. If you can, duoqueue and take at least a Fragger all the time. Of course YMMV, if you can bounce and break with a Fletcher then consider that, but I’d say if you’re having trouble, try Fragger.
It has led to slightly better luck for me. For a time anyway.
That’s silly mang, FF means you need to think about what you’re doing with those kind of abilities. If you blow yourself up as nader and TK an incoming medic it means:
- You weren’t paying attention to the medic coming to rez you
- You weren’t looking to see if any teammates are within the blast radius
If I throw down an airstrike marker near a hot area of the map and kill half my team I can hardly turn round and say “lol maybe don’t stand so close to the marker then”, that’s my fault for not having enough awareness or foresight about what I’m doing. It’s a similar situation and yeah, sometimes you’re going to be revived in a firefight when you come up, that’s what happens. That can be the twist between a collapsing flank rising again and a longspawn, if the opportunity is there and doesn’t present excessive risk it should be seized, it’s no excuse for crappy Naders to pop it in the medic’s face.
