well for one the whole dlc pack if you ask me(no way they mad this from scratch but they said pre-realese that DLC was comming no time soon) so that

-rocket launcher from the trailer (seen on page 2. just look up the trailer to watch.)

-flashlights (credit to iezza)

-black skull face paint(credit to achtung)

-a picture on page two has a couple of cut color options and a light with a "jackhammer* (hjammerdiem) shot gun with a shirt that has a splash damage logo on it.

-a flamethrower heavy weapon (credit to jess alon) -my theory is removed for lag issues but that just me-

-bayonets, its in a training video (and announced in dlc)

-dual wielding pistols (i think this may have been speculation from a trailer)

  • i heard customizable weapons of the melee catagory(probably speculation based on the trailer)

can anyone add to this list??

P.S. if you knew all these things great dont just bash this post its not cool i wanna know what people know and dont know and i dont need destructive criticism TROLL BAIT:mad:

Dual wielding pistols came from a trailer (the Brink release trailer I think it was).

Customizable melee might have come from the same trailer (at the end, 2! long pointy things go through a door)

On the thing about the bayonet, that might be kinda cool…I see it happening like this . o 0 (“OMG! That light’s so fast I can’t change weapons before he stabs me! Ka-Stab! Good thing I equipped my Gerund with my trusty bayonet!” )

They scrapped the bayonet because it made the pistol’s knife so-so for the sake of balance.

How would you iron sight duel pistols exactly?

Last but not least there was supposed to be a heavy flamethrower and I don’t know what happened to it.

It was stated long ago that there would not be any dual guns, don’t remember where and when

Maybe its hard to implement a proper flamethrower wihout lag :slight_smile: - not a big loss, could have been fun for temporary area of denial thought

I was hoping for a melee weapon set actually when I saw the trailer but they didn’t do it. the “black skull” face paint everyone is talking about is oil or grease smeared across the face (this could have morphed into dirty face but I hope not cause the oil slick looked sick) I haven’t seen any mention of any specifics to the DLC though. the bayonet would be awesome especially since it’s IN the in game training vids… but they scrapped it i guess.

hopefully there’s some neat new AR’s because the one’s now just don’t match up to the SMG’s which is strange and crappy cause I love my Assault Rifles. I do know though there is an AI tweak that I hope will fix alot of things with that. but really that’s all I got.

i have heard it many times and in the angers concept art he has a large knife, those two spiky things in the trailer are huge blades

i do enjoy a good hard jess post when its showing how damn educated in this field he is.
i guess it would be simular to COD pistols (you wouldnt its hipfire only and when you pull the iron sight button youd shoot your secondary)

will add flamthrower to the list with you attributed

hmm something tells me we could see anything that people say where scrpped as downloadables a bayonet is an attachment meaning it would do more damage?? (plus the weight of a rifle is much more powerful than a clenched fist around a blade.)

and they say “oh its so balanced” it doesnt much appear that way when play tested do you agree??
infact bethesda forumers have been coming up with a DPS workup and most results say the whole “balance” is crap… just sayin

f + mousewheel switches between left hand, right hand, or both. When in single handed mode you can press the corresponding mouse button to fire, and the opposite one to scope. r + corresponding mouse button reloads corresponding weapon.

Complicated controls would be fine for complicated players.

All that said, dual wielding is so unnecessary. I’m glad all this stuff had no time assigned to it.

What about consoles? I say leave duel weapons out. Won’t fit into BRINK well, even if it looks pretty bad-ass.

As for the melee weapons, it was scrapped, or never really planned to be used. It was in the debt trailer or w/e where The Anger had two machetes and killed The Bud with it. and The Bug also had duel pistols.

And for the bayonets, i think no, because it would just make the pistol’s knifes meh. Also, bayonets get stuck in peoples ribs and it becomes a big mess and then while your trying to rip it out of your victims ribcage, some guy guns you down. You don’t want that, do you? :stuck_out_tongue:

Flamethrowers, i think not, i love flamethrowers but it would probably be laggy.

And lastly for the flashlights. What is the use of them? There are not really any dark areas in BRINK, so there is not much a point of having them.

P.S. if the bayonets DO get added. I think they should reduce accuracy alot. not like half the stat bar down, but quite alot. And bayonets should only be for rifles.
