Things I can't wait to see in 2017

Even though we missed out on some content during the summer this year, I think 2016 was a really nice optimization year where bugs got patched and maps were cleaned up. But of course for 2017 I think we as a whole would like to see:

  • Turtle/Dockyard (more maps and content in general)
  • Skyhammers learning to drop ammo and medicks reviving people (perhaps a more thorough tutorial with incentives for completing it maybe? and also reminders for new players to use their abilities like dropping ammo). And maybe we could stop destroying enemy ammo stations for once?
  • Ranked (perhaps with incentives for everyone to log in and play ranked at the same time) + working shuffle and team balance in standard matches
  • Fixed crafting system and RNG reduction and trading
  • Community servers and custom game modes, custom maps and a SDK and perhaps community skins. 24/7 maps for all those dome/chapel/underground fans
  • Ability rebalancing (Ahem, Thunder). Shotties could be tweaked to be less punishing in pubs but skillful weapons. Maybe the revivir could get a proper scope or sight.
  • Working demo recording system that works in multiplayer and doesn’t lag as hard.
  • HUD and crosshair customization (built in that is, HUDEdit is great and maybe it could be merged into the game perhaps?)
  • Anticheat that stops cheaters, right now this game has very few cheaters but if it ever grows it will need a more rigorous anti-cheat since it’s a F2P game.
  • More skins and character, weapon and loadout customization.
  • Trinkets that we can actually feel good about.

Of course these probably won’t be all completed by 2017 since SD has other things to work on to pay the bills since maybe DB isn’t profitable enough to dedicate lots of resources and people to^or^maybe^it’s^something^else^completely^and^i’m^just^retarded. Of course I’m happy for what we got this year… other people may not be but we got a MOFO update and loads and loads of bug fixes. Rouge en vouge was interesting but then afterwards there wasn’t much.

Did I miss anything? Flying corpses? Blackcipher.meme?

Although people joking around about CMM releasing time, but I believe it will be within 2017. So does dockyard and turtle. Pretty sure they know it is time…

Like a walking ammo station? Eh, I think that would be pretty silly. Especially if it had to go through the animation. Imagine being shot at and all of a sudden you’re throwing ammo at someone instead of shooting back.

It would also make ammo stations somewhat useless. It was bad enough they removed the extra ammo clip bug they gave, and without that having a mobile ammo station is a bit insane.

I’d rather be “tactical” about my ammo packs

Yep, I would love a rollback to the version just before the Summer Squash. Now I experience occasional framerate hiccups and just this week I died twice because my merc didn’t switch from repair tool to primary while standing up from a generator… Never had this happen before SS.

Having silly issues like this all the time that were never a problem before summer squash. Weapon change delays, INPUT LAG, random frame drops, missing animations, disappearing throwables, etc. etc. SD please :’(

At least we have Doge.

If they added more skins and re-worked the crafting system I would come back to DB in a heartbeat. That’d be #1 for me. Or maybe Turtle.

I actually haven’t had much of a problem with the MOFO update, besides regular crashes.
I occasionally still lose deployables, but that isn’t a new thing.
For the most part, the update made it way better, ignoring the crashes.

I need Turtle. Dockyard would be nice too. New content will be welcomed (As long as it is not some utter fucking bullshit like MEMES. This “event” was worse than the dabbing trend).

The tutorial has already been reworked once, all they need to do is give players an incentive. Also, telling that people go to max level 6 servers exist needs to be done by the game. Most of the new players don’t even know these servers exist.

They said they want to have better team balance in CMM. Ranked is another issue where not enough players want to play ranked causing extremely long wait times.

Yes. Please god yes. At the very least, they should reduce the costs, but I know that is not going to happen. A better thing to do would be to rework the trading system.

SDK, I personally would love dearly. However, I understand that it will take a longer time to make. I do not want this to be a huge priority as I would rather they work on the game.

Shotguns, yes. Thunder, idk. REVIVR is fine as it is (it was even better before the nerf. At least remove health fall-off :cry: )

Awww that’s so sweet of you :heart: . I would also love it if they had a static crosshair that overlaps the screen even when you ADS (kind of like Mumble overlay).

Definitely. Right now I don’t see many cheaters because there are so few players for there to be cheaters.

More Events. I doubt the loadout system is going to change any time soon.

  • Trinkets that we can actually feel good about.

I just want people to know what trinket I have. And not some dumbass notification in the killfeed that lasts how long it takes a 12 year old to jack off. I’m thinking your trinket should be displayed next to your card when you kill someone and they see your card.

This video sums up most of my thoughts although not to the same extreme.

All in all, your ideas are completely valid. We have literally been waiting for Turtle and Dockyard for a year and I am starting to get pissed. There have been no content updates since April of 2016 (8 months ago).

Nope, it’s about DOME, one map to rule them all. Noobs don’t like it. They love to play Underground, a map as complicated as an empty bottle.

Yes it is not gameplay that i seek, but more comics similar to Aimees backstory.

Im joking, i just want lobbies where there isn’t 2 lv 60 and a lv 75 player vs >lv9 players.

youd be surprised the amount of japanese players who just entered dirty bomb coordinating attacks

i just played the match couple hours ago with them, im the only one whos not japanese in that team, i can barely understand their language but i can make up some of their orders like heal or revive (just being a sparks is already considered a good job to them)

they goes WHOOOAAAA when i wall jumped ( they didnt know about walljumping)
and they shout “Good Job” all the time
they said they are japs studying in Aus universities.

do japs have shooter games like DB or something?
