Just played a ranked match vs a full team of +150-300 pings. My Drei-@ss Ar was useless vs them. Even though I’m a little drunk and tired from work is too much . 20 shots and 0 kills? Just wtf. Is like playing vs some kind of ghost. The fun thing is that they were not teleporting

I feel you man. I also have problems playing against high pingers. It is like you say, like playing against ghosts. This is the first shooter game I’ve ever played where high ping gives you an advantage.

I really wish there where max ping restrictions in DB. I at least hope it will be possible to set max ping when custom servers become available. It’s getting really frustrating not having a somewhat even playing filed in this game, due to high ping players and out of sync servers.

As someone who used to have to play with horrible internet, and still has problems every now and then, having high ping definitely does not give you an advantage. At least it didn’t to me.

Sure, some shots on you occasionally don’t register. But that’s the same for enemies. Landing shots, reloading, placing deployables, it’s extremely difficult when you have high ping. It also means you’re more likely to get shot around walls, and otherwise be unable to properly do anything. Just because you don’t see them teleporting, doesn’t mean they aren’t. From my experience the server usually smooths out their movements, while clientside movements are still horrid.

TL;DR, you’re harder to hit sometimes with high ping, but literally everything else is so much harder to do that that small benefit doesn’t outweigh the negatives.
Maybe it’s different for other people, but high ping hurts a lot more than it helps. Please stop spreading lies about someone winning because of a “ping advantage”. There is no advantage, just frustration for everyone.

i play better on lower ping, even a bit hike from 20 ping throws me off my game hand

Playing against high ping is annoying, like that Aura or Sparks that you just can’t seem to hit. But playing with a high ping, at least for me, is awful. Completely changes how I play and it might just be because of my internet. Once I get around and over 100 ping, I teleport like crazy and all types of weird shit happens. Like just now I was in a game where I couldn’t sprint or jump half the game. It was weird. It was like my merc was trying to sprint, but was getting held back by something. Not sure what you would call that.

Ranked servers are worse than the ones in the browser for me. Constant U.S. West servers, New York servers that give me 180 ping instead of what should be 60-80, and now Toronto servers that aren’t in the U.S… D: Can’t catch a break so I just give up most of the time. Do what you gotta do for a few ranked points, ya dig? :#
