They are coming

It seems SD is prepared to welcome the horde.
Any hopes some of your buddies & teammates get in?
Will the american players be able to play two consecutive maps on their own turf?

Let’s get those servers running!

Any surprise update for us to welcome them? Rocket launchers?

(Mustang) #2

I have no buddies… :stroggtapir:

(redtractor) #3

Don’t worry, same as FunkyFunk

(.FROST.) #4

Of how many we are talking here actually? Dozens, or even hundreds???

(Mustang) #5

I think it was mentioned “a couple of hundred”, so I guess in the 200-300 range.

(.FROST.) #6

Ok, that’s awesome. Looking forward to it.

(redtractor) #7

What Mustang said a few hundred.

[QUOTE=badman;455608][SUB]First off, sorry for the delayed reply on this. Let me try and address a few of the concerns that have been raised:

Destiny will be operating Dirty Bomb in Russia and CIS. They have a proven track-record of operating free-to-play titles in that region, whereas we don’t, and they have a handle on the local needs and wants. The main goal of Destiny’s alpha is to test their back-end systems and make sure that Dirty Bomb’s integration with them works correctly. Their test is not a free for all – there are limited slots, there’s no guarantee of admission. Our international alpha will continue to be the place where new features and content are let loose as you guys and girls keep shaping the game.

We are also aware of the dangers of completely separating Russian players, especially on the competitive side. We’re hoping to address this, though we don’t yet have any details to share on that.

The contents of any existing Founder’s Packs will carry over to Destiny, so you won’t lose any of the in-game items or your status. Any Russian members of the Founder’s Club are also able to play in the alpha test of the Russian version straight away if they like, though we don’t support having two versions of the game installed simultaneously. You can also keep playing in the international Alpha if that’s what you prefer.[/SUB]

Finally, we’ll be sending a few hundred more invites for our international Closed Alpha over the next couple of days, so you’ll have plenty of additional voices/fresh meat.

[SUB]If you have any other questions about the Destiny deal, please post them up and we’ll get those answered.[/SUB][/QUOTE]

Just a note that we’ll be doing these in stages to keep our ramp-up on the sensible side.

d3v1ous1 is a NA guy. NA side lacks players so pick him pls

Khamul I dont need to say anything about khamul

(badman) #11

Tell 'em to join the Founder’s Club so we can dispatch invites (that’s where this round of invites is going to)

(Kl3ppy) #12

Founders Club? You mean buy access to the alpha? Or how/where can they join the Founder’s club?

I hoped they can get access because of their ETQW history :frowning:

The new players have been playing this morning. But the buggers are stacking the teams, they all end up on one team. The veteran players need to help keep the teams balanced or the new players might get discouraged easily. So far so good the veteran players have been trying to keep the teams even.

Try not to scare off the fresh meat, everyone has been bitching about a lack of players, so lets help them out so maybe they will stick around.
