these cases are BS!

So I’ve been playing for about 3 months off and on and since then I have YET to come across a silver load out or better!! I have one what the dickens load out but everyone should have gotten one of those. I’m just wondering why I cant get shit. Is it because I have yet you spend a single penny buying in game purchases? Is it rigged to never get anything? I’m just fed up. Anyone else having this dilemma?

(Sorotia) #2

It’s pure RNG…and they have very low chances to drop…I’ve been playing for a long time.

I’ve gotten 1 dickens loadout, 1 gold, and 2 or 3 silvers…it’s just RNG and not everyone can win the lottery.

RNG is a cruel mistress, my friend.

Good thing bronze cards have everything you are ever going to need!

(Melinder) #5

I am currently level 30, I dont know how many cases that amounts to via leveling and random drops. I have also opened Elite cases from events (so around 6). All 6 elite cases were silver drops, and from normal cases, I have gotten only two bronzes, and the rest have been lead / iron. My highest card is Gold (one of them) from trading up the elite silvers.

Hate seeing level 4’s and 5’s with two Cobalts.

(YeOldeButtcheek) #6

Honestly a bronze out of a normal case is worthy of a victory screech.

(bontsa) #7

When I started the game I found out getting bronzes through normal casedrops, even if every drop is a lead, is not that long grind after all. 3 leads = 1 Iron / 3 Iron = 1 Bronze, hence 9 Leads for a Bronze. If I was too impatient or specific on certain Loadout, I just took 17k credits and bought it from store.

However when going higher up the cosmetic list, it does get tedious and has unfair feel for those who’ve spent actual money on these cosmetics. So summarized, in my opinion, grinding for functionally all-you-need cards, Bronzes it’s not that bad when you know what you’re looking for and not buy cases with credits. But actual bought purchases must have less RNG in the future.

i got a silver out of a normal case once…some asshole accidentally opened the tap on my luck resevoir too much and all my luck for the rest of the month was dumped into that silver.

much time later, i got a CW card from a basic CW case…

“You speak much sense!”
But seriously, how did you miss out on elite cases? Or even expert cases? Dont worry, there will be some elite cases flying your way in the near future i would imagine. Also, just keep opening the regular cases for iron and lead-outs, until you have enuff bronze to fill a swimmingpool and then you can start your journey towards the golds.
ALSO how dare you complain when you got a WtD loadout  “Everyone should have got one anyways” Umm…hold on…NOPE. Im still butthurt about not getting any of the achievable trinkets either. My (actually useful) advice? Dont bother with rarity, take it as extra stuff that you are not supposed to get and youre fine.

That’s RNG unfortunately.
You just have to keep trying as there isn’t a lot you can do about it.
I’ve been trying to get a cobalt Kira without Dreiss.
Every single time I traded up I got the D43.
Yesterday, I finally traded in and got the B72.

The only way to avoid as much RNG as possible is to buy your prefered loadout in the Store.

Best option:

Save 17,500 credits and purchase the bronze loadout you want, then start saving credits and lead cards for trade ups to silver and higher.

If you have a lot of lead and iron cards saved up trading to bronze can be cheaper but there’s always a chance it will take more than 17.5K credits to get the loadout you want. Before I had all the mercs I would always save up 50K credits and then work on gettingt an extra 17.5K so I could immediately purchase the loadout I wanted in bronze.

It’s not rigged, just random. If you are in a rush and care enough about cosmetics you can purchase elite cases. Bronze loadouts give you the exact same augments and weapons as the higher tier cards and are easy to get without putting a single dollar into the game. You can’t expect all the shiny things to be easy to get

The DB genome project is a great resource here on the forum.

If it makes you feel better after all my hours 500+ I have yet to get a cobalt and I have but a dumb amount of cases… Just all RnG man just trade up for bronze then the shitty cards go for silver. When I get an iron from a case I get happy because that’s 3 leads and 500 creds saved up for a trade up.

Try praying harder to RNGesus.

RNG always gives the best for us … I will give an example … Look … SPARKS can snipe and she will give health and revive … she is always needed by the RHINO … SPARKS the best … So RNG gave me sparks … but why lead … Because lead is corrosion resistant

(SereneFlight) #15

421 hours and 0 cobalts from equipment cases (the best I’ve gotten from those are CW Aura (merc I don’t play yay) gold Rhino and maybe Arty IIRC) + 0 event case drops during events.
fuck all those people who get cobalt from equipment case and event case drops with so little hours

I don’t really know why would somebody pay to get beaten up but I guess some people are into that kind of stuff.
and I’m not gonna judge anybody for being into it

“Help, I can’t get the rare cosmetics and I should be able to get the rare cosmetics because I am entitled!”
Come on, if you really wanted to get a Gold card or above, you could have traded up for it by now.
And speaking of the WtD, I never got a loadout even though I played a stupid amount of hours during the event. RNG is RNG.

(Occult) #17

ive played since cb and ive only 2 silvers and 1 cobalt loudout from cases. rng baby, get used to it or tradeup

You should have logged in when they were giving out free Expert and Elite cases. B)

The whole “Ohmygod I missed a cool card by one” is purely placebo and you had 0% chances on any card besides the Sparks. All cases are predetermined when you open them.

For myself. I played nearly 600 hrs and only got 2 Golds and like 5-6 Silvers out of normal cases (and on CW card).
The RNG is built to not to give you “good” cards so you spend real money if you want bling.

(Rjsto) #20

You put way more eloquently what I was gonna say!
If it was easier to get the higher tier cards, what value would they have anyway?
