I think after the developer took DB into a new direction by removing the ability to effectively jump while in combat, they should also take steps to remedy strafing and hip firing. Both of those tactics, like jumping, need to add a much greater penalty to accuracy. It doesn’t make sense, for a game that’s suppose to be more tactical and penalizes user’s accuracy when jumping in combat, it should also do the same for strafing and hip-firing. It makes no sense that someone strafing and holding the fire button (instead of burst firing) has the same accuracy as someone actually aiming from a distance and burst firing.
It seems the developer doesn’t know what they want the game to be…first it was an action-shooter…then subsequent patches limited movement, ie, jumping in combat, but strafing and holding down fire button is still unpenalized. Sure, slowing down and ADSing is a much better tactic than moving after the last few patches, but at this point, the game is poor as an action shooter AND poor as a tactical shooter.
SD needs to make up their minds. I’ve adjusted to the slower more tactical pace they’ve been pushing in the last few patches, but imo, if that’s the direction they are going in, they need to take it all the way and also add severe penalties for strafing and mashing the fire button.
