[QUOTE=jazevec;323288]The question is would you be fine playing a FPS game with less impressive visuals and audio but better gameplay, stability, performance optimization ? I would.

I don’t know, but I know the publishers are going to push developers for more eye candy and more features, and always restrict budgets for testing. Bottom line is, they’ll get testing for free once the game is released - publishers are not going to say “ok, you can spare some money from the graphics, we’ll switch that to QA”, they’ll just say “great, that means the game will be cheaper”. It is a ****ty deal for us gamers, but that’s how it works.
For example new versions of Windows, I never switch right away. There’s always tons of problems with bug, lacking drivers, compatiblitiy, whatever.
The way I see, we should take the same approach to games. If you’re hyped enough to play from release, you’re signing up for dealing with the release problems. If you want the initial bugs to be weeded out, you’ll have to wait a bit.
That’s just how it is.
Oh, and gameplay in Brink is ****ing amazing. Some things need balancing, sure, but damn this thing has gameplay through the roof.
