This, so much this. I didnt mean to turn this into a phantom hate thread, but this guy understands what I mean.

As kira, if I see phantom coming, turn to start firing while backpedaling, Ill get about 3 hits in maybe before he kills me in 1 hit. if I turn/run, i get a smg to the back of the head. If I am kira vs phantom, i WILL get raped all match, to the point where i HAVE to switch to a higher HP merc or spend the whole match on the ground. with kira, I almost CANT win in close quarters with phantom. With fletcher (120 hp i think?) it feels much more 50/50.

So that said, if I knew I literally could not play the merc I bought when facing the merc they were about to release, I would not have bought.

This is fair. But it also begs a question, if people spend money up front wont they be more invested in the game? making them more likely to give it time and get into it, instead of playing it for 10 seconds and being like meh whatever, while also making the game less good for the paying customers in the process?

If a game is actually good enough, people will find it and buy it, will they not? $15 isnt very much money

You know what the lesson here is? Don’t panic and backpedal while firing. Best option is to rush at him and long jump, 180 and fire. Half the time they will take a swing and be stuck in a long animation as you gun them down. The other half of the time they will be a bad Phantom player who tries to melee only and won’t be able to track you as you gun them down.

People need to learn to fight him rather than make forum posts about how they can’t backpedal and kill him every time.
