The Unofficial In-Game Tip Suggestion Thread!

(KattiValk) #21

[General]Medics tend to win peek battles. Never get into a prolonged engagement with a medic, you will not win.

[General]Think in terms of the team, not your K/D.

^in other words, would you dying be beneficial to the team, or are you better off pulling back?

On Bridge, you can repair the generator again if the EV hasn’t moved past the barricade.

(Learned this today, after 160+ hours in Dirty Bomb  )

(titaniumCrouton) #23

[General] Did you know, you can charge paddles to revive people with additional HP?

Only applies if they have made literally 0 progress on repairing their EV from the time the gen was destroyed. With a team wipe from the defenders, it is quite easy to keep this thing up the entire game.

(Cross) #25

I should note that adding tips in here that tell you not to buy stuff is probably a bit wasted on the devs. That, and snarky comments on hackers.

(CCP115) #26

[Fragger] You can cook grenades. I don’t care if this has been already said, this needs to be said again.

[General] Headshots always do double damage

[Audio] Enable hit beeps/hitsounds/hit notifications in the audio options

[General] Don’t forget to do side objectives to help your team.

(Aazhyd) #27

Firing at the EV deals damage to it. You’ll get XP for it, too. This only works if it’s not already disabled.

(Cross) #28

[General] A lot of traps make distinct noises. Keep note of the sounds that proximity mines and sentry funs make, and check for them before you round that corner.

[Vassili] The heartbeat sensor is easily destroyed. Try and place it somehwere the enemy can’t immediately see and remove it.

[General] Target medics and health stations first. No point in shooting someone if they keep getting healed!

(N8o) #29

[Fletcher] You can counter Rhinos like they are small bugs. Throw three sticky bombs on him and watch him become a human (large human) firework.

(refit) #30

[General] If Fletcher puts a sticky bomb on you, run at him. He will take damage when he detonates his bomb.
[General] Defend your team’s turrets. Please!
[General] Cover engineers who are repairing and defusing by blocking with your body.
[General] Keep your rhinos healthy and stocked with ammo.

(KangaJoo) #31

No, they stop healing you if you take too much damage at once. For most guns, one or two bullets up close is enough to stop healing which is probably why you never noticed this.

(tropicalDirector) #32

[Phantom]You can swing your mouse to the left when doing swipes to increase you cutting radius.

[Phantom]You can OHK mercs with </=100 hp with lunge attack.

[Phantom]Switch to your gun if fast mercs are running away from you.

(Duke) #33

Grenades will bounce off of allies. Don’t have it bounce back into your face!

Only applies if you do not value your life or are a merc with less than 100 health. (Because at that point, you’re already boned.)

(tropicalDirector) #35

Lol. Rhino doesn’t need ammo most of the time since his minigun has infinite ammo.

[Rhino]Each shot in his minigun does 10 damage if I remember correctly.

Yes, and has a body DPS of 300.3, and a head DPS of 600.6, highest DPS weapon in the game, but only in close quarters.

(DirtyMedal) #37

at EV’s missions if at the end of the time someone will be inside the EV you will get into overtime, it wont work if you stand near the EV

(Samniss_Arandeen) #38

[General] Enable “All Weapons” in the in-game options menu to equip Ability actions without immediately doing them.
[Fragger] Hold down the Ability button to cook your grenade, giving your enemy less time to run.
[Sawbonez/Sparks] Direct hits with Medpacks will instantly heal a small amount of health.
[Fletcher] Sticky bombs stick to humans, too.
[General] Only one person can accomplish the objective at a time, so leave it to the Objective Specialist if one is nearby.
[General] One dead enemy is better than two wounded enemies. Focus on one enemy at a time until they fall.
[Kira] The Orbital Laser will continue firing even after switching away from the designator.
[General] While sprinting, press crouch just before jumping to long-jump, covering a short distance faster than normal.
[Rhino] The Minigun is powerful, but is not your only weapon. Sometimes a problem is best solved with a shotgun to the face, or pistol parting shots.
[Bushwhacker] Pick up the smoking remains of your destroyed Turret to recover some of the cooldown.
[General] You move fastest with your melee weapon equipped.
[Medics] The healing may not be as rewarding as the hurting, but the former is exponentially more important.
[Medics] Proper healing and reviving triage for the situation can turn a losing battle around.
[General] The EV moves faster as more Attackers congregate around it. The EV also makes beautiful cover, and has a turret on its top.

(blisteringOwlNest) #39

[General] ammo and health packs can be used by the enemy. Be careful not to accidentally keep them fueled!

(SirSwag) #40

You run faster with a pistol than with a bat.
