the two best waifus in the game: a montage

I can see why your name is potato. Dat potato config.

(misspo) #3

I really hope that when Splash damage will start to optimize their game, that they will nerf all these visuals tweaks.

(N8o) #4

It was okay until the Clannad music started playing.

Hit me harder than a fucking truck… or one of Waifu’s grenades.

(Potato Potasto) #5

how else am I gonna get the required 200fps to play this game properly

(ThatRandomGuy) #6

I really want DB devs to optimize the game and lock these potato shits…

And you have good aiming skills

Why do people hate what graphics settings others play the game at?

How does it effect you in any way?

The game is ment to be played with settings available in the game… As far as i know, every one of these , montage posters have potato configs… Coincidence ? I dunno and i dont care.

Game should be optimized and ini edits should be locked, to an extent !

The moment the game is optimized and I can run the game at minimum 120 without dips, I might change back, it depends if I can disable the large textures.

Some of us come from the Q1-era, where making everything look like lego-blocks was the norm. My ET (and Brink, but whatever) looked as shitty, easier to spot the enemies and track heads.

The prototype maps look perfect, white walls, clean and crisp.

(Jostabeere) #10

Meh. Annoying character, stupid music remixes, annoying playstyle, config abuse. Be proud.

(N8o) #11

But… Dango!

(Eddie) #12

a montage of 1 kill each time… booooring. But Grats on that cobalt sparks tho.

(Jostabeere) #13

Dango what?

(Jojack) #14

Yeah I liked it too. I have no idea why there’s so much salt over your config. Why the hell would anyone care what someone else sees?

(Ghosthree3) #15

As long as you can’t see anything more than someone without a custom config could see - eg. seeing through smoke - I have no problem with how much easier it might make it. Personally I run on maxed sans motion blur but to each their own.

(RuleofBooKz) #16

so using a hack that allows u to see thru walls shouldnt worry u, right? Whats it matter what the other guy sees?

while these 8-bit configs are not hacking (that was dramatic exaggeration to make a point) some of them skirt pretty close to the line .

+1 Certain values indeed should be protected

Every change to get an advantage to other players is considered cheating tho.
“But you can set your game to potato, too” “Yeah, and I can get an aimbot like others, too”
I think those almost-textureless walls are a real advantage. They see the red glare around enemies much easier since you can modify the game to keep there but not high-res textures. Game shouldn’t be allowing this, it’s like a whitewall hack for Counter-strike.

The difference is hacks are 3rd party, game configs are not.

(watsyurdeal) #19

I do love how people think configs like this should be locked, without any understanding of how hardware works.

The thing is the system specs sheet lies, I would say you need 3 ghz minimum on your cpu to run this game on low.

Wall hacks…really?

I can understand some values being locked, like completely disabling explosions. Really that’s the only one I can think of off the top of my head. Nothing else comes even close to skirting the line of wall hacking.
