The True Storyline of Brink

(RabidAnubis) #1

Recently, I read up that there was a conference being done by Splash Damage that explained that they were trying to use as little text as possible, and that they were leaving it up to the players to interpret the storyline, in there own way, giving the story through game mechanics! I have interpreted the truth, along with several of my forum going colleges online today. (will be updated once a day.)

Chapter 1

Journal of codename Anubis

2020: An island city, a project, a dream is under construction! There is a hidden purpose though. But I can’t say that, all I can tell you is this… it’s much easier to grow underwater things when your right on top of it. And a lot of these valuables can only be harvested in the far out ocean where the waves can be stopped naturally, but not totally non existent. I’m lucky I’m on the place. The production facilities are almost done…

2022: Funding was cut off. Production was slow. We had to agree to capitalize the business yesterday, sending the information in emails to rich real world money giants. Bill Gates must have gotten at least a few of them…

2023: Obviously, in order to increase money flow we had to post it on television. At least that’s what the fox news people said. We gave them an opportunity for a twenty second clip of the founder’s tower. I saw their helicopter as it flew by, blowing wind into the edge of the well crafted structure, scattering the light magnificently. We told them it was an experiment to see if we can live in luxury on the ocean. That’s only a small part of it.

2024: Several of the capitalists have set up rooms to see if they could stay here for a while. They were getting tired of sleeping on the platforms set on top of the hulls. We now have luxury sweets, and are opening the place to celebrities. Many of them. They were told that we had a secret project. They weren’t told what it was of course.

2025: Our buoyant structure is now complete. Arkoral is a great thing, isn’t it? Thank goodness for Doctor Hanson. Arkoral can do so much more. Creating a buoyant life form is hard. But doing what he did? Impressive. I’ll take a drink to that. (Oshino, you know where I’m going with this.)

Chapter 2

Journal of an outsider. Codename: Hot-Wire

2027: We found out what was going on.

Everyone did. It caused so much commotion. So much… Rampage. Hate. Violence flooded the streets. They showed us the the state of the arc labs. They showed EVERYONE. And they showed us what they had been making. What they have been building. What they are constructing, brewing up a future for the world!

Everyone needed to get there. They had sent a sample to every city. Some people got it. They fell in love with it instantly. Worse thing: No one knew where the source was. And they even said a gimmicky, “The ark is hidden.” And “You will never find it.” Sounds like a challenge.

2027: Might want my EZ nade to be blowing up people. It’s not a challenge anymore. It’s a competition. Who can get on the ships? Who will survive long enough to see it? Almost as if teasing us, they sent a show of more pictures of their construction. I took a few from the newspaper to show you them.

First. They sent us a picture of the laboratories.

Couldn’t even bother to… nevermind.

But… Here is what we came for. The first place to try it! THIS is what we are coming here for!

The double shot. A security turret outside of it. But the most legendary bar known to man is worth death. The drinks are of kelp beer. The most fantastic kelp possible! And it has been spiked with arkoral to make the flavor rougher! We should have known! Damnation!

THERE ARE BOTTLES OF IT ON THE COUNTERS! THEY SHOULD GIVE IT TO US!

(PART THREE PREVIEW. THE MEETING.)

Chapter 3

2028: The waves started to come in. No, not the waves of the ocean, waves of immigrants. It was almost funny how that one month, they would all come in and the next none would come. Funny thing was, that very few of the people who came to find us actually did try to send out the coordinates. All of them were stopped who did, and our security/stop raging drunks crew were on overtime a little bit. And the new people weren’t planning on leaving. We had to get the people who spread out arkoral to work a little overtime to increase the arkoral for our beverages. And then we could grow the kelp off of it! Genius! The ones who were too cramped though we just threw into a container and gave them a bottle of the stuff.

Space, the final frontier

(RabidAnubis) #6

lol.

If you were in that lobby, you know it has to do something with the labs map. It was a topic of conversation for a while!

P.S. if you want to know if your right, PM me.

(AmishWarMachine) #7

I think I missed it. Gotta remember, I was spectating for most of that group’s shenanigans. I’ll keep myself posted to this thread for sure as you fill out your thoughts!

(RabidAnubis) #8

The funny thing is there are a considerable amount of things in brink that SUPPORT my theory.

(Hdserialkiller) #9

Would be kinda hard to live in sweets, suites though…now you’re talking. I kid. I kid. Where does ninja warrior come in?

(RabidAnubis) #10

I blame it on the accent.

But the next part is comming up!

(RabidAnubis) #11

Second part is done! Come read it!

(RabidAnubis) #12

Actually, I need somebody else to sit for a few moments and let me take a few pictures of the meeting. Any volunteers on the PS3?

(Codine) #13

is this some kind of rp fan fic?

(RabidAnubis) #14

It’s a joke.

There are over 9 bars in brink. I’m not kidding you. Just look around carefully for them.
