Let’s first look at the important stats of the Timik-47 and the M4A1.
The Timik-47 and the M4A1 are identical in a many aspects. They do the same amount of damage at 14 to the body, they both have a magazine size of 35 rounds. The Timik-47 has some pros to it. Faster reload speed by 0.1 seconds, a 15RPM faster fire rate and an effective range of 29m as oppose to the 26m of the M4A1.
On paper the Timik-47 looks just plain better, but the one thing that makes it not as good as it seems is the recoil. The Timik-47’s higher recoil pretty much negates the range bonus and makes the Timik-47 almost exclusively a close range weapon.
My proposition to fixing the Timik is to make it a specialized close range rifle while making the M4 a bit more unwieldy overall.
Essentially, reduce the recoil and the damage of the Timik, as well as increase the rate of fire. Possibly even increase the magazine size to 40.
As for the M4 i feel like it isn’t too powerful, but i wouldn’t mind a little recoil increase or fire rate decrease.
The SMG-9 falls into the same category with the Timik. It lives in the shadow of a superior weapon, the Crotzni.
This one is definitely a difficult one to fix. The SMG-9 doesn’t work up close as well as the Crotzni, but it’s still an SMG, so making it more effective at medium ranges wouldn’t make much sense. I’ve been toying around with the idea of a burst-fire SMG. I know making that big of a change to an existing weapon is a big deal, but in my mind that’s the kind of changes the beta stages of games are for.
As for Thunder, the slow-down effect is the main reason he’s so op. In my opinion the slow-down should be removed and the blindness effect should be nerfed by allowing you to see the minimap, just to allow some chance of getting away. Also 160hp was fine.
