The Timik-47, The SMG-9, and Thunder.

Let’s first look at the important stats of the Timik-47 and the M4A1.

The Timik-47 and the M4A1 are identical in a many aspects. They do the same amount of damage at 14 to the body, they both have a magazine size of 35 rounds. The Timik-47 has some pros to it. Faster reload speed by 0.1 seconds, a 15RPM faster fire rate and an effective range of 29m as oppose to the 26m of the M4A1.

On paper the Timik-47 looks just plain better, but the one thing that makes it not as good as it seems is the recoil. The Timik-47’s higher recoil pretty much negates the range bonus and makes the Timik-47 almost exclusively a close range weapon.

My proposition to fixing the Timik is to make it a specialized close range rifle while making the M4 a bit more unwieldy overall.
Essentially, reduce the recoil and the damage of the Timik, as well as increase the rate of fire. Possibly even increase the magazine size to 40.
As for the M4 i feel like it isn’t too powerful, but i wouldn’t mind a little recoil increase or fire rate decrease.

The SMG-9 falls into the same category with the Timik. It lives in the shadow of a superior weapon, the Crotzni.
This one is definitely a difficult one to fix. The SMG-9 doesn’t work up close as well as the Crotzni, but it’s still an SMG, so making it more effective at medium ranges wouldn’t make much sense. I’ve been toying around with the idea of a burst-fire SMG. I know making that big of a change to an existing weapon is a big deal, but in my mind that’s the kind of changes the beta stages of games are for.

As for Thunder, the slow-down effect is the main reason he’s so op. In my opinion the slow-down should be removed and the blindness effect should be nerfed by allowing you to see the minimap, just to allow some chance of getting away. Also 160hp was fine.

A rof decrease for M4? Why would one ever want that? It’s already very slow, the only slower weapon is K-121

Statswise it can’t, but the low recoil makes it so versatile it really has no match.
That’s just my opinion though.

You see then he would be useless again, since this is exactly like how it was prebuff, when he was a joke. The main things that need a nerf with thunder are the stark and the fuse timer on the concussion nade (best to add cooking like fraggers nade). This would make him as easy to counter as fragger and actually take a bit more skill than him in terms of positioning, as you would still have to dodge the flash on the nade.

As for the M4, it isn’t actually better than the timik, it is just powerful/influential mercs (such as fragger and skyhammer) get it and is a great choice for people that want to play a more medium ranged, yet aggressive, playstyle with these mercs. Plus it is the starter gun so people will gravitate toward it as it is a gun they will have known since the beginning.

The smg-9… yeah. For an smg, it just doesn’t do as well as the crotzni at close range, nor as well as the blishlock at medium range. A lot of people would rather rework the weapon so it would fit a niche VERY different to that of the other smgs.

honestly adding a fuse time similar to the frag nade on thunder and adding grenade cooking is the way to go, as it is the conc grenade can be used as your “oh sh!t” button if we had to cook it it would make it much easier to dodge

All the smg9 needs is significantly lower spread/spread increase per shot than the crotzni and you’re good. Right now it’s useless since it’s dps is low and its range and spread are about the same as the crotzni. If you gave it spread that’s low enough to where you could consistently rattle off enough headshots in a row at mid range to down a mid hp merc, something that takes a bit of luck when using the crotzni, it would actually be a little bit better and more consistent than the crotzni at mid range while still leaving the crotzni with its role as the best close range smg. It also won’t be out classing any assault rifles at mid range since its dps would still be much lower thanks to the lower base DPS and lower range.

If any gun should get rof decrease and damage buff it’d be the Timik, and the SMG 9 as well, it could bridge the gap between the Crotzni and Blishok.

As for Thunder, just remove his Flash aspect of the Concussion nade and nerf his hp. Then see how he does.
