On this coming Monday (16/11/2015) Smooth will be joining myself on stream to talk Dirty Bomb and we want to know what topics you would like us to talk about. Please leave comments below on the most important topics and we’ll pick some of them to discuss with you live.

-Is SD going to balance the loaodout cards, so there isnt any good one over the rest ?
-Faraleth made a surver about the most UP mercs, will these mercs recieve a huge buff ? Right now, increasing the smoke radius in every update is not going to make red eye a good merc
-Will you guys fix the bug of the healing stations and ammo stations getting destroyed indoors by an airstrike ?

Are there any plans to further diversify the guns?
For example the FEL-IX and the MOA-1 are practically the same gun with different looking scopes.

Will we see new loadouts cards and skins ? I’d kill for a BR-16 Fletcher.

Shotguns are barely played in competition because they are too restrictive, yet they make new players upset. Do you guys think we can find something to adress both issues ?

Blishlok, Grandeur, Timik and FEL-IX are oftenly considered subpar (especially Blishlok). Can we expect a buff ?

Will the Echo stats ever be public ?

whats your opinion on weapon abilities, so weapons that have a certain characteristic aside from base stats? For example, the Blishlock gibbing twice as fast or the Timik being twice as effective against deployables?

Are there any plans for the dreiss? Currently, it feels like it is an ads-focused weapon. Is that by design?

Whats your plan on diversifying the weapons? Will there be any other differences between weapons apart from DPS, Recoil, Accuracy & Reload? More/less HS damage, non-hitscan, bulletdrop, anti-objective secondaries or smth. like that?

What will be done to buff UP mercs? Especially those with small HP pools that are rendered useless by the barrage of explosions high-HP mercs possess?

What plans are there to make competitive balanced and enjoyable?
Have you considered splitting competitive into solo/duo queue and a team queue?

Would you consider either buffing the Blishlok or removing it as an option for mercs that have access to better SMGs (such as Phantom)?

  • Weapon balance :
    Will shotguns ever be valuable weapons after level 10 ? They are inconsistent by essence, of course, but… I don’t know, if they are not a possible option for most veterans, it’s mainly because the way they behave is too shabby.

  • Merc balance :
    [1] Is there any plan to get over the health pool / speed relationship ? Light mercs, and more especially Aura and Proxy (who have relatively worse weaponry than Sparks and Kira) struggle to be viable against good aimers because speed does not compensate for their lack of health. And I’d like to add that lights in general are more affected by server related topics (killed behind a corner effects, server issues we have to face right now).
    [2] Sparks has in my opinion too much liberties right now. It’s still the best reviving character of the game by a huge margin, and its revivr allows her to compete with semi-auto snipers. So she kinda is the best both worlds with little to no drawbacks (her low health pool set aside). Is there any plans to reduce her medic prowess or her damage ?

  • Core gameplay : Will every next map be like Dome ? Do you plan to adapt the other current maps to a Dome-like format with more routes ?

I wanna know why u guys don’t wanna buff timik and give it more dmg, now its just a crap version of m4 with more recoil?! Like in any other fps game timik/ak-47 has more damage and m4a1 is more accurate !
When stoker came out, i played with timik for almost a week, tryed to like the weapon but its just bad compared to m4 and now i am back to m4…

I guess I may as well leave a topic for the stream: The three mercs I feel need some real love are Arty, Phantom and Red-Eye. Could we see any of these getting some small buffs or tweaks in the future, and what might those be if so?

Also, @CCP115 nah, nah… We got one of those coming up :wink:

I wanna know when you guys are gonna fix these bugs and tweak some stuff.

Now that intagibs are out of the game, will we see a change in how revives work? Because as it is now… In situations where medics are part of a firefight, it is nearly impossible to actually KILL a person. This is especially a pain in the ass for me as I play Vassili. Medics tend to revive people quicker then I have time to finish them off. Maybe the RoF on the snipers aren’t quick enough? I don’t know. Maybe there’s a bug? Maybe I am supposed to finish them off when I shoot them. Although this video proves otherwise.

I don’t think it’s a good idea to buff/nerf mercenaries based on the amount of skill of the other players. Phantom got a huge nerf because of that… Wasn’t a good idea. Now Vassili had his instagib headshots removed because some people were basically just too good at aiming with him. I’m not saying I’m not against the Vassili change. But there’s stuff to change and tweak to compensate for it.

I really don’t like the ‘no more instagib’ with the sniper…
When are we going to see server improvement? (tickrate and network stuff for smoother gameplay). Have a nice day

I would like to see some balance changes like these.

  • Weapon Balance

1: Bishlock, it still needs tweaking, as it still is too slow at killing and does not even work as high damage long range smg, because it has too high recoil and pretty low accuracy. Also it has pretty low ammo effiency thanks to low accuracy.

2: Grandeur, it would be good weapon if the sights weren’t so bad. Also the accuracy gets pretty bad too quikly and the aiming is hard thanks to (sights and) high recoil. (also grandeur has inconsistant body damage changing between 39-40)

3: PDP, While its good weapon for vasilli, its realy bad weapon for redeye as he loses almost all close range defences, as the pistol (outside M9) do not cut it.

3: Heavy Pistols, they feel pretty weak and dont have power value and only have spamming, just like normal pistols. It would be better if heavy pistols would work like low range snipers (with grandeur level of hip accuracy) and slow fire rate.

4: Pistols, regular pistols should have just slightly bigger mags (to create balance between heavy pistol and machine pistols).

5: secondary smg, sligtly higher mags would help to improve them as they need more bullets to kill, also tolem needs slightly higher rof.

  • Merc balance

1: loadout cards: The cards in my oppinion need better balance, as there clearly are best cards and there is not realy a choice. Also locking weapons to cards does hurt. It would be better if player could choose the weapons (from the merc specific weapons, not from all weapons) and the cards would only affect augments and skins.

2: Redeye, The biggest issue with redeye is that he cant protect him self in close quaters as well as other recons (outside dreissar and m9), as he lacks secondary smg and PDP is too inaccurate at close and grandeur is not reliable. (also the smoke is too small)

3: Phantom, its quite annoying that one of the most important weapon in phantoms arsenal is locked to specific cards, the katana. It would be better if the katana would be either ability or in all cards. Also the invisibility does deplete too fast and the augment to extend that is too important. it would also be better if the player could activate the invisibility without it being fully recharged.

4: Arty, Kira, they still need indoors ability so they can be usefull as the skyhammer and stoker.
