The game is not that bad, but I’m afraid the community won’t stay without new maps or maps rework.

Maps is what we need above all topic ( not saying that they are no other issues )

In this matter, i dont want to throw a rock here, but it seems that the way you are doing it for the past years is not really working, in term of productivity or efficiency, for now we get very few map, and they are still far from great.
This situation is a pity, because the game mechanics, the mercs, the movement system, the balance etc are getting great and polished and based on this, great maps could be done, and we need them !

I do not understand either why you keep working on the same old maps with very little changes again and again… maps wich where created even before the game movement and mechanics were definitve.

Why dont you quickly throw 10-20 new maps in a very blocky stage with some bold differences between them and get feedback from that ?
Or Take time to finnaly release a SDK and make the community create so maps ?

Anyway what i would like to know, is what are your plans about the creation of new maps, for now, but also for the future ?

massE was on the other day, in-fact he’s been on quite a lot recently, why don’t you ask your map questions to him?

(actually people already did, and if you care to watch the streams you would know the answers :D)

also a quiestion about ELO ratings in DB.
1 cobalt + 4 golds win over 5 golds. Does cobalt get same ELO increase as those 4 golds, OR he gets smaller? latter should be the case.

also a quiestion about selectable tools.
when will we get or tools back, and decide what we need more - to defuse, or to help up. game will never be smart enough, ppl should decide what they want.

Name a date from which on we will have finally the optimization. The progress we currently have is way too slow. For me the game runs ****, the FPS are not consistent throughout the maps. This issue was reported years ago but so far I dont have stable fps. Sometimes they go up to 200 and then drop to 60-80 fps.

Fragger is bluntly overpowered so i would want to hear if anthing is being done to him, at the very least -10hp would be nice.

  • how will players be incentivized to play MM which is what’s really needed to keep player retention high (better ranking, seasons, rewards, better balance etc)

There are things that are far more important than adding new maps. Did you miss the fact that the Containment War update added 3 new maps to the game?
Not to mention that these forums are the only place where (the very few) people are constantly crying after new maps, most people are happy with the current ones.

The current maps are crap thats way we complain about maps. 2 of the 3 added maps are for Execution, only 1 for Obj/SW. As long as the maps are stupid meatgrinders we will never stop asking for new/improved maps.

@ Smooth: what happend to Bridge_alt? Will we see it some time? If no, why? Bridge_alt is better than the current bridge.

Explain us ranking… like many asked here.

One thing I havent seen yet:
How are games with missing players counted? Do I get less or more MMR if players leave on my or their team?

I think these are largely self explanatory:

Draft mode
Cosmetics separate from loadout cards
Attachments to weapons (scopes primarily)
Crosshair options (scalable dot size + different configurations)
client side demo tools + match review
More profile stats, including match history

Regarding comp mode, they should have some inspiration from BO3 Specialist draft with one merc rule :slight_smile:

Comp Mode:
-why ranks are broken?
-does ELO change every match equally for all players OR each player has his OWN ELO change (i.e. does CObalt get same increase as silvers after win over 5 silvers? which is WRONG) ?
-we need to see our ELO at least at beta stage.
-are 5v5 Ranked servers possible (ELO-based auto shuffle included)

Core gameplay
-Are HACK objectives coming back at any point?
-If Yes, then will Hack proficiency be a thing (snipers being best hackers? like in ETQW)

Personal
-why u no come to IRC?, i.e. where can players have a chat with devs?

Ditto, the current system is the only thing that is completely killing the game by itself.
But, I’m not sure it’s part of Smooth’ topics of discussion unfortunately
