It’s terrible! Absolutely terrible! You want to be a competitive game with such terrible mouse options? As it is now we are forced to do .ini tweaking to set our sensitivity. Unacceptable! Put in a textbox with multiple decimals, a slider doesn’t cut it!
The sensitivity slider
The slider gives you the ability to use a sensitivity such as 3.1 or 3.2. If you are this upset about your sensitivity being 0.01 off I think it’s safe to assume you just need to start aiming better.
Casual talk! That 0.1 is half a centimeter off! Besides, it doesn’t go in steps of 0.1, it’s pure integers, steps of 1. After you said that I went into game to double check and realized that the in-game options menu is different, which they should also fix, and yeah, it seems to be in steps of 0.1, but it’s not actually, because it’s not precise enough. Sometimes it’ll move 0.1, sometimes 0.2, so really you only have steps of 0.2, which is an entire centimeter off! That’s not negligible. It’s unacceptable, and they need to fix it!
You can use the console command setsensitivity to change it in-game if you want to make more precise adjustments without having to restart the game each time. It’d be nice if they add a textbox, but for now they probably figure that anyone who wants to be that specific with their sens is going to be fine with learning and using console commands
the setsensitivity cvar is just fine for “advanced players”
all we need, is a zoom sensitivity slider and/or some type of sensitivity ratio unification
rifles have 0.55 zoom sens while shotguns are reducing sensitivity to the 75% of hip fire
personal example :
setsensitivity 5.40 - windows 6/11 mouse accel off - cm storm alcor 750 dpi ( it’s 800 but i swapped the stock feet with hyperglides MS-2 which are thicker )
rifles
hip = 42cm/360
ADS = ~ 90cm /360
shotguns
hip = 42cm/360
ADS = 52.5cm/360
that’s a huge difference there ^
ADSing is pointless most of the time, but still …
