The problems I have with ranked mode

  • There is no ‘solo only’ queue, which results in incredibly unfair teams. In other words, I get to play in a team that doesn’t understand or even attempt to do the objective and I am against bunch of people who were ‘cobalt’ even in the ‘pre-ranked season’ ranked mode. You know, they have a friend on a freshly made steam account to help them climb up the ranks against what amounts to total newbies. It is just plain unfair, practically cheating. A fix would be a ‘solo only’ queue - or making it so that the rank of a pair, is the rank of its highest ranking member. Let the gold masters and cobalts play against other gold masters and cobalts.
  • Then there are too many ranks. What is the point to have 5 bronze ranks, 5 silver ranks, 5 gold ranks, 3 cobalt ranks, and that 1 elite ranks? Even if you were to cut them in half, you would still have the exact same level of matchmaking quality.
  • You just need one player that feels like a dick to prevent a team from voting surrender. You know, you are stuck in your spawn with no way out and you are forced to basically just wait out the timer because of one dick.

Honestly, what is the point of the silver and bronze ranks? You could just cut them away and make everyone just be ‘unranked’ because that is all you get as a team as one…

This is good idea.

Don’t you need 4 votes to surrend? So one guy can’t stop it

  • There aren’t enough people in ranked for that sadly. It would just make it extremely difficult to find matches.
  • In indifferent on the number of ranks tbh. I do think it would be good to rank up or down even faster just to give people a better real time view of their skills though
  • Surrender votes are fine. Yeah they can be annoying sometimes, but they can also be bad if a team decides to surrender just because they don’t immediately get the first objective. I’ve seen some unranked teammates try to do that, when we won the match in the end.

I think its one less then the team size so if theres 5 u need 4 votes. If theres 4 players left u need 3 votes.
