- Pub match starts, 7v7, numbers balanced
- One team loses first push badly
- 7v3
- Shuffle is called
- F2F2F2F2
- “switch?”
- radio silence
- Team fills back up with new players
- New team takes time to adjust
- Game ends
- “gg ez”
- “fuk u” “lol umad”
I see this over and over. I don’t find it fun on either side, and I don’t like playing with people who do. Fair games are much more fun and instructive IMO. The responsibility for solving the problem is partially on SD, but also partially on us. What can we do?
- Don’t abandon games so easily; try switching characters, ask your teammates to plan something (don’t try to command them), etc.
- Check the scoreboard if you’re having an easy time, and make sure it’s not team size and/or skill gap
- Switch teams or vote shuffle if the difference in number of players is 2 or more
- If teams are full, shuffle usually doesn’t work very well at the moment; instead switch to spectator, someone else switches teams, and you join their original team
- Don’t gloat over easy victories
- Don’t get too angry about losing, and don’t try to make other people angry
- Don’t be a DICK! ™
