The point of info_player_deathmatch?

(Qexpres) #1

Hey,
A long while ago I noticed that the spectators always spawn at the info_player_intermission with the lowest spawnflag value (1 for axis or 0 for none). I’m using an IPI right now wit spawnflag 0, but then what’s the point of putting the info_player_deathmatch in your map? The spectators are supposed to spawn at IPD (says the GTKradiant entity window), but they just don’t.
Maybe the the Radiant version is my problem? I use 1.4, because when I tried 1.5 it was still in an early stage. Oh well, I hope some one can give me some answers.

Thanks in advance!

According to the entity description in Radiant, you may use either spawnflags 1 (Axis) or 2 (Allies). I think this entity isn’t meant to be used with any other spawnflags value.

The spectators are supposed to spawn at IPD (says the GTKradiant entity window), but they just don’t.

This may be a side effect of a wrong IPI usage.

There is no point, you don’t need it.
