Yes, yes, yes, everytime. Every freakin time, I can’t tell you how often I de-installed the catalyst, shut down the system, reboot in safe mode, use driver cleaner, shut down, reboot, apply newest catalyst, shut down and finally reboot the whole thing again.

I’ve tried EVERYTHING, old drivers, new drivers, hotfixes, alternative drives, tweaked my settings in Brink, switched over to my secondary monitor(main1920x1080, secondary 1280x1024), played around with the catalyst settings. N-O S-U-C-C-E-S. Nada.
Sounds like a GPU fault to me…mmm dual monitor set-up… try using just one maybe?

(.FROST.) #22

Man, I’m useing just one at a time at least while I play games. Usually its my 1920x1080, but for testing stuff I also use my 1280x1024, but also not simultaneous. Do you think I’m stupid? I’m 32 and I work in the semiconductor industry I’m not a 13 year old kiddo.

(Up&Down) #23

No I never said, or think you are stupid.

anyways enjoy not being able to play, you rude ****

(.FROST.) #24

“VPU Recover has reset your graphics accelerator, as it was no longer responding to graphics driver command.”

That’s the error message from the CCC

(Pegazus) #25

Fix your attitude, then people might take you seriously for once.

(Up&Down) #26

Quick Google on your card…

Try reducing VPU Clock from 780 to 750, and then test.
Didn’t mean anything with the picture, Frost - no need to get offensive :stuck_out_tongue:

Just read ‘‘official whine thread’’ and thought I could post a picture for the little shuckles and lols

I hope you didn’t mind :o
Ok, sry

Yeah, maybe its actually a gpu thing, but first I’m trying to test it with this one;

http://www.ozone3d.net/benchmarks/fur/

I’ll report in a couple minutes.

(Up&Down) #29

mmmm maybe , but stress tests are never as good as the reaL thing.

My old Gainward GTX460 GLH SLI setup gave me grief for months with BC2.

In the end I worked out the problem was being caused by the factory OC settings on the card, once it was downclocked to reference levels, the game ran fine and I had no freezes/crashes.

I know this is a different game, different cards, but the symptoms sound similar, and just dropping your VPU by 30 is quick and simple to do, and may pinpoint your problem.

(DarthBenedict) #30

This game has the most disappointing minigun I have ever fired. Miniguns should be a borderline overpowered death hose, not a mild nuisance.

(Saint Stunna) #31

LOL LO LOL… let me guess we fix your whine?

(Lozmuir) #32
Lozimur, Lozimur, I wish, no, I hope, really hope, that you will, at one day, buy a game that you where looking forward to for years, watched every bit of promo material and read many of the pre release interviews, just to find out, that the game you just received is absolutely unplayable. And then, when you start to complain in the respective forums you where accused to be a whiner, and than when you accept the fact, that you are probably a whiner since everybody is calling you one, I mean you are complaining? over a product that’s broken? Why should you be anything else but a whiner, and so you accept that and start your own thread, just to find out that you aren’t even save there. The wiseguys will find you and they will wise crack the $hit out of you and they will make fun of you and they will say things like;

"Oh cool another thread we can ignore. "

Oh man I really wish you that experience so hard that when I think of it I start laughing so hysterically, that a little tear runs out of the ankels of my eye. Man do I laugh, hehe, hihi, hi, HIHIIHIHHAHAHAHAHHAHHOHOOOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGHAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH: Oops my neighbor is ringging. Hihi.
You spelt my name wrong.

You, I mean you my friend, yes you, you made my freakin day. Finally, no freakin freezin anymore AND, I can’t believe it, almost no fragmented letters except on/above turrets?!. You are my hero, thanks a lot and this will go directly to the techie section of this forum.

It takes an off topic thread, to get the proper solution for an on topic problem. That’s life, allways a suprise up its sleeve.

Here is what I did: I cracked ATI Overdrive, !!!reduced!!! my card from regulary 780MHz to only 750MHz. Done.

I will increase the clock bit by bit till Brink starts to freeze again and then reduce to the last functioning setting.

I will test it thoroughly this weekend. And finally I’ll start Brink’s SP and MP. By now I only played “Operation Babel”, over and over again, in order to have an exact reference(12 days).

(.FROST.) #34

You fixed nothing bro.
I appreciate your help, but as I’m not allowed to spam tech threads, I wish you tech guys to not spam my whine thread.
This topic is great 10/10

Sweet!

Im just happy that the 3 months or so I spent troubleshooting my own PC issues has been able to help other people enjoy playing their games.

(wolfnemesis75) #38

Technical problems is not whining, it is real problems. Hopefully these will be resolved soon, hang in there.

(Sinner) #39

I just hope this guy remember to thank SD for fixing his problem. You know, since he was blaming everything on them to start with.

(Up&Down) #40

nO ITS THE CROSS PLATFORM game designers, SD, DICE, et al, that are to blame for creating the problem. And maybe it goes further and the publishers like Bethesda and EA are to blame for pushing designers to release products early or to a fixed deadline.

I fixed his problem.
