I only worry that she’ll be tons of fun until they patch her and ruin her abilities or weapons and then not fix them for ages. Seems to happen a lot lol. I guess it bothers me because when I start having tons of fun with a merc, I don’t want that fun taken away. Javelin’s axe being the most recent example.

After it’s deployed the player can control it from it’s perspective, enemies in the line of sight of the drone are shown on the minimap (maybe in this games case detected) the player can drive the drone into people and detonate it, in Brink the detonation wasn’t really powerful, only 1 hit downing the lowest health characters, so likely 80-100 damage if that was the same.
A small panel pops up at the top, maybe that’s a weapon or tool it uses, like a defibrillators or to let the medic heal from a safe distance using it.

It’s hard to tell with weapons since many weapon stats overlap and were modifiable.
Healing Station, sticky grenades, emp grenades, molotovs, cortex bomb with is just martyrdom but that’s in many games.
Medics actually revived at a greater distance because in Brink classes tossed their items (ammo, health, weapon tune-up, revival syringe, ap ammk, bulletproof vests, supplies)
There was a grenade launcher and minigun that could only be used if you had the heaviest class.
There are surprsingly many abilities that could be taken from Brink and applied to mercs in DB.
Emp grenade, Caltrap grenade, Homing Beacon and Comms hack which are some I suggested for abilities for Phantom.
Revival grenades, maybe healing grenades like in The Division would be a nice ability.

I think she seems awesome. Only thing I’m hoping for is a somewhat lengthy cooldown on either the revive aoe or the drone thingy. She has no defibs, correct? If not it seems pretty balanced. Honestly I’m looking forward to it. Of course it’ll piss off all the explosive mains, but as they said in the video, explosive spam is a major complaint in DB, and they keep adding even more explosive mercs.
I’m excited to see fraggers and javelins who think they’re skilled just because they can hold down a button, get an indirect nerf which will force them to strategize more.
I just hope it’s done right though. I can see it be a great addition to the game, but I can also see the devs totally mess it up.

Explosive Nader main right here and I’m looking forward to Guardian as well. I also like Fletcher, Fragger, Stoker, and Javelin for her dreiss loadout and I couldn’t care less if people have an issue with it. When people bitch, I’ll tell them to choose my merc next game and more often than not I outscore or frag them on that as well. So, yeah, while I’m not one to complain or struggle against other explosive mercs, I do agree that having more counters to them is a great addition. Turtle’s shield, the proxy mine change, EMP disabling stickies, the ability to shoot down rockets, and so on are all good in my books. I genuinely want more counters to them so everyone can stop listening to the same tired assertions about being OP, being trash with anyone else, and having no skill.
