Seriously how are you gonna add such an OP merc ability like Thunders without a proper counter to it. since release i have been blinded like 80% of the time im in a match, i cant imagine how it will be on free rotation. you literally have 0 defense vs him. He might be slow but if he nades you not only are you blinded for what seems like an eternity but your equipment is disabled turrets, mines etc… so you have no way to defend yourself. Even if he blinds himself as he blinds you his high HP pool guarantees hes gonna win most gunfights. its ridiculous how OP and gamechanging this is. i hate to say it but i refuse to play DB until this dealt with because its just making the gameplay experience miserable and not fun at all. InB4 everybody decides to run Vasili and Red Eye.

i know what you mean, that thing is way to bright. it hurts/almost hurts your eyes. if it wasn’t for the special CW event/cases i wouldn’t be playing right now either.

He’s not OP. If you’ve used him you’d know his MG has massive spread and goes through tons of ammo. His grenades seem powerful but on the throwing end, it’s hard to get follow up kills. And he’s so slow and has an absolutely huge hit box. He’s a new merc so people don’t know how to counter him yet. It’s like introducing a foreign animal to a new country, it can usually thrive because other animals don’t know how to deal with it. This will get better. Just give it time.

Thunder is not OP, in fact I think he is a situational and supportive assault merc.
He provides disabling support and some tanking to team. But needs help to get close to enemy and also mop up after the disable.

Some who claim he is underpowered is possibly because they play him as a solo merc, expecting him to be like Fragger.

His concussion grenade is the problem, it removes control from the players affected, too much, too easily. It needs to be tweaked.

There isn’t a real counter to any of the other assault mercs. So why should thunder have a counter?
The only real fixes that need to come are the bugs to FF and the distance ones.

well i didnt mean him i meant his ability. The Concussion grenade is too game changing. if there are multiple thunders on the enemy team it is almost impossible to hold down a zone or objective effectively. not to mention him being able to friendlyfire is such a horrible idea, the trolls are gonna be everywhere concussing their own team just to make ppl rage.

I feel the same about his nades but there seems to be a bug with the distance and geometry of the area of the effect. That would explain a lot.

I actually do believe that the flashbang should be thrown like Stoker’s molotov and should not be cookable. After getting a few hours in I was starting to come up with some pretty creative flashbangs for rooms that people had zero defense against.

I wouldn’t go overboard with the melodrama and proclaim that GAM = RRUIINED or anything but I feel as though people should have a small window of time to defend against it.

Most of the time the OP was blind was probably due to teammates throwing bad FB’s as opposed to getting hit by good ones from the other side. I know that is where most of mine came from yesterday.
