The Mod Of All Mods

I wanna make the mod of all mods.

Can someone give me the links to or tell me how to make a mod like etpub/pro/jmod.
Also any tools that will be very helpful.

I wanted to make a mod with etpro’s stop lag feature, jmods hit sounds, and jmods killing sprees.

Please help me, thanks.

well lates ET patch already has the ETpro antilag and ETpub source code is avaidable

but since you dont seem to know this i might surgest u actauly think about what u gota do rather then just jump head first into a massive project

What I would think of as “The mod of mods” is a 3D editor coded as an ET mod… It would then be a free,standalone Q3 model editor.
It would surely help all those modelers out there!
(To give you an idea: the MOHAA model preview mode combined with 3D editing tools)

Of course, this isn’t a wishlist topic…

I didnt say i would be making a mod maker, i wanna make a mod like etpro and etpub, for enemy territory, not some model editor, i could give a F less about models and editing the way things look, i just want a mod like pro or pub with great hitboxes, antilag, killsprees, xpsave, and hit sounds, all in one perfect package that people will love, thats what i wanna do.

Hey, it was just an idea. I didn’t say you should really take on this idea. :stuck_out_tongue:

But now on the other hand, you’re saying you want to copy features of other mods to create your own ultimate mod which should combine them all…
Technically, this is what etpub tries to do afaik.

It would be more interesting if you would invent new stuff imho.

MoHAA model preview? What are you talking about?[/quote]Ok, you can spawn models from the console in MOHAA but there was one game where you had an in-game model preview mode. Sad enough I lost the bookmark.

You can’t spawn things ingame in MoHAA AFAIK (unless you want to crash a server with an U-boat). You can do so by scripts, though. :wink: It doesn’t have any model preview mode, though, I can assure you. :wink:

The following four easy steps will enable you to do this:

  1. Learn C
  2. Obtain the ET game source and etpub source patch *
  3. Read and understand them.
  4. Code your mod.
  • The sources for the other mods you mention are not available, but assuming they you have completed 1) properly, reproducing their behavior shouldn’t be a big problem.
