The London Guard: A Faction Suggestion and Merc Compilation

Lore and Stuff
Encrypted Jackal Comms, July 19th, 2019
[BEGIN TRANSMISSION]
We have a situation on our hands. I never thought they’d come back again…the new recruits might not know, but you and the other handlers know very well who’s back. The London Guard. Remember them? They were even worse than the CDA. The militia group comprised of native London citizens, led by the remains of their military. They fought hard, hit and run attacks and bombings. But we managed to subdue them. We took out their leaders, destroyed their supply chain.

But they’re back. I don’t even know how, but they managed to get the funds to hire a large group of new mercenaries. They’ve already started attacking some of the Jackal outposts on the edges of the city. If we don’t start fighting back, we’ll have to deal with both them and the CDA… and I don’t want that happening.

Redeye out.

The London Guard is an incredibly devoted cause of London residents that has formed an underground militia in an attempt to get the CDA to leave London and stop the cleanup and evacuations that are currently in progress. They seem to have formed after the mass quarantine of the West and East Ends last month, after many civilians were contained in shelters. Many escaped and entered the city once again, and with remnants of the British Armed Forces, started the London Guard movement. Their militia troops are well trained and very dangerous, attacking CDA shipments of supplies and containment centers to free civilians there. If spotted, do not engage under any circumstances. Possible military action is advised.

Update: 23/7/2019
Reports of a new mercenary group attacking Jackal outposts on the outskirts of their territory have been conformed to have been hired by the London Guard to reestablish control and begin operations in the greater London area. Records show that their last cell within the city were eliminated by the Jackals on January 5th, 2019, but they seem to have found the funding to hire a large group of mercenaries as well as arm a small militia. It is advisable to resume offensive operations against the Guard.
Meet the London Guard: a native militia group dedicated to preventing CDA tyranny, disrupting their cleanup operations to start their own, and generally being a annoyance to both the CDA and the Jackals. Thought to have been finally destroyed by the Jackals, they have returned with a vengeance to fight the CDA and the Jackals with a new group of mercenaries under their wing. Compared to the other two factions, they’re much smaller, but they pack quite a punch.

Welcome to the London Guard! It’s derpypenguinz19 here with a brand new suggestion/compilation thread that is both a suggestion for a new ingame faction and a repository for all of my merc ideas in this section, past and present. This particular faction is neutral in the whole Jackals vs. CDA affair, but they instead attack both, hoping to free London from their grasp. And since I know some of you will ask, these mercs listed will not be limited to just the London Guard, because mercenaries work for whoever pays them the most.

I hope you liked this faction concept, and I will be expanding on it and possibly using it for my own fan fiction! Now take some time to look over some of the mercs below. If you have an idea for a merc but can’t put it into words, than post below- I might take your idea into consideration!

So, you want some Mercs to be faction-specific? That’s gotta be the lamest suggestion I ever heard.

(Mr-Penguin) #10

Nah, it’s just a little lore thing to tie my merc suggestions into. I even said it in the opening post. :frowning:

I’m sure you skipped over that part in the OP, so I added it to the mercs section.

Reformatted OP somewhat, added new merc concepts to mercs section.
