This isn’t a thread about how much you hate how medics don’t revive you, or the balancing being non-existent in need of improvement, but the little things. Y’know, the things that kinda irk you, but isn’t really that big of a deal.
One of my pet peeves would be people turning on their mics just to play whatever the hell is going on around them, but not actually saying anything. So I’ll just be playing and hear someone playing death metal through their mic and then have to pray that I can press the mute button before I get killed. I just don’t understand why, though. I mean I understand if you miss the “S” key and accidentally hit the “X” key, but if you are HOLDING the button down? There’s no “Oops” for that.
Like I said, it’s a pretty easy fix of just pressing my mouse a few times. But it’s still annoying. Very.
So, what are your little pet peeves that don’t truly affect your game, but just irk you a bit.
The Little Pet Peeve Thread
I was playing DB when a guy “accidentally” held in the mic key and the entire team heard his loud, bogan mother yelling at him to go to bed, which was followed by another guy imitating the first guy’s mother. From there on it was a battle of the squeakers.
Pet peeve: Squeakers yelling into mics.
Biggest pet peeve: chasers.
I don’t know what it is with people chasing down other people, even if it means essentially dying behind enemy lines and catching the long spawn same as the person being killed. You chased me down on low health just to kill me and die yourself to my team surrounding and shooting at you!?
Sadly, my teammates never notice until it’s too late. Personally, I don’t bother chasing down 1 person (especially if it’s not a medic or someone who means a lot to the team at that moment). You just end up getting yourself killed and it’s pointless.
Can someone please explain to me why people feel the need to do this? It’s just annoying really because then I end up being that one guy dead while all of the objective-fun is going on.

For me if I happen to do it, it’s because I started chasing the guy, realized I bit off more than I could chew, and then ultimately decided I was dead either way so i may as well take someone out. But it’s not intentional or something I take joy in.

Well if you’re onebiscuit or something like that, your mother sounds like a true gentleman.
Another pet peeve: low-scorers calling the team sh*t.
Like seriously, what goes through people’s minds when they call the team sh*t from the bottom of the scoreboard? Always a level 1-10 as well.

My pet peeve is when people create copies of existing threads.
Another pet peeve: When people think that a back-page thread created months ago is a reason enough to not make a new one.
Wasn’t a pet peeve until it happened today on very intense games. Me and another guy would be both planting the c4 on trainyard on I would tell him over the mic to not plant in that corner and let me finish the plant in the proper one, and he’d still go through with it. Same with Underground, idiot planting alongside me. I on the outside with 0 cover for the enemy , him on center inside , with all the damn cover for the proxies. Almost cost us the game.
I have many peeves.
-When playing Vassili, everyone and their mother’s decides to block my shot.
-When I warn my team mates of an enemy airstrike, and yet somehow I die to it inside a building, making me look like an idiot.
-When I can’t sync with the enemy zig-zagging causing me to miss 100% of my shots.
-When a friendly red-eye smokes their own team causing the enemy to slip by and plant/steal the objective.
-When medic tries to bring you up instead of using their defibs.
-When non-engis repair the EV when there already is a engineer doing the repair, and the enemy rounds the corner and takes both players out.
-When I summon an orbital strike, and dying instantly to the enemy.

Medics can’t bring you up without using their defibs.
That was patched a while ago. I tested it over a month ago.

Apparently not. I just had a sparks pick me up instead of using her revivr gun in execution. Everyone in spectate was having a “wtf moment” in VOIP.
Sore losers always blaming their team for being made up of useless noob morons instead of realizing that maybe the other team was simply better.
Also people asking relevant questions like “Y U no defuse?” in chat when the other team had a stranglehold on the planting area and most of your team (expect the guy asking) died twice trying to break through.

Oh. My bad. I’ve never been much of a “search-before-posting” guy. Just look at my ComicVine profile, lol. But yeah, I didn’t mean to do copy you. Didn’t even realize there was another thread. Sorry!
Plus, like I said, this is the little peeve thread. The first peeve of the author was “When a medic walks right over my body but doesn’t revive me”. That’s a noob peeve, that everyone has. I’m talking about the little ones that isn’t something that needs to be patched or better explained or something, just one that happens because of people being people.
