So the matchmaking is alive again. Good job!!..NOT! Alive but not well.

I did 6 games and i couldn’t won a single one.

I always got the top score of my team and with a good kda (i know “kda is not important”, well kinda it is, so chill).

I try to carry but is impossible:

Maybe is because i get ppl in my team that finish 4/44 or 5/39, always 1 or 2 team mates end up like that?
Could be, but maybe i´m just unlucky.

Maybe because 40% of the time i die from friendly fire?
Nhaaa i even love that, give me a chance of changing to rhino and kill all my team in the last seconds of a stomp game. Benny Benassi’s song Satisfaction plays in the background ^_^.

Maybe is because the devs, in there infinity cuteness and wisdom, say something in the likes, " we improve the matchmaking" by not changing nothing at all!!!
Well 5/6 games was against parties of five. My teams?? Solo players. I didn’t ask in the first match but by the odds… You get it.

In one game, the guys said that " Or you get a party or you lose every time, bro" and i was like, “i’m not your bro, mate” because i was more salty than a cod fish. But yes… He is right!!

And “so what mate?” You guys ask…

1º- I’m not your mate, dudes…
2º- It been like this since the beginning of ranked
3º- I know this game is in beta and stuff (bla bla bla) but how hard can it be to fix the matchmaking??
Just forget the level balance and win/lose ratio and make it base on party numbers. Than when you guys get that right just improve it the way you like it.
4º- You guys fix all the cheating (well, kinda but never mind that, YAY for you guys :smiley: ) and that sound way more difficult.

Disclaimer: I’m not a noob (I only miss because of lag). Played the Alpha, and i got +950 hours of DirtyBomb.

P.S.: Damn, i’m salty, i know… but then again… i’ts a FPS right?? RIGHT??

Need to cap Match Making at level 10+ at least. Getting matched with and against players that only have 20-30 hours of DB played is ridiculous.

Competitive is awesome right now. Hadn’t had so many short queue games with so many close matches in a long time. I hope the days of 40 minute queues never come back. Did you soloqueue? If so, you knew you were diving into uncertainty, get some steam friends to play with you.

I guess i am wrong here… but what if i am a :foreveralone: ? xD

I did a lot of ranked in parties but i wanna be allowed to have a 5v5 of solo players in ranked, no? That´s the dream :slight_smile:

Yes. Better buff Cooldown, range and visibility of mines WHILE nerf nades instead of balancing the matchmaker.

I gotta say, it wasnt much fun playing today.

We had a team of 5 today (4 Golds and an unranked), played 10 matches and ended with 9 wins and 1 loss. From the 9 matches none were close and about 7 of them the opponents forfeited.

Searching though was really fast, the most was about 3 minutes. The days before it was up to >10 at times. So we didnt notice the “Increased matchmaking search times to focus on finding closer-skilled players” at all…

Friendly fire is good to have, but i would suggest lowering the damage dealt by teammates, like CS:GO has it for example: I think its 50% lower then the damage dealt to enemy players and only for the damage from all non-explosive weapons.

What would be nice is to change the color for dealt team damage so its easier to notice.

Colission can be a little annoying sometimes but its probably not a bad thing and only needs to get used to…

I guess not showing the players ranks after a match is a new (old?) bug. Made it a little difficult to tell though what skill you played against.

I actully soloqueued a decent amount of games in my time playing Dirty Bomb, just try your best, talk to your team mates and try to make good callouts, don’t be a downer like some people get sometimes during tough games. Think of it like something between pubs and more serious competitive, where you will usually find players more committed to win but it’s still a matter of random luck. But when you want to queue while feeling that inner must-win fire inside like all of us who love competition feel, I’d advise against going in solo and queuing with friends instead.

Y’all have to actually be tactical to win you know.

Kill a few guys, push up, stick together, gain ground, hold ground, get the objectives done. You didn’t really think it’s be easy did you?

Allot of fair points, i wasn’t expecting this to be honest. xD
Let’s go over the ones a fancy the most, shall we?

I try to communicate with the team but then you have this issues:
_Not everyone has micro.
_Sometimes you just can´t hear what ppl say. Or they can´t hear you. (old bug)
_Not everybody speaks English.
_You cant X when you are dead.
_Type is no as fast.
Against a team of 5 one skype or TF it’s very difficult.

Random MM:
_It will not fix the Party vs 5 solos
_It’s not balance in levels the problem. I don’t mind having noobs in my team, i will carry them, but carry against a team is not possible. Well actually it is, done it before but its very unlikely.
_Parties of five should go against parties of five. Like League of legends or Heroes of the Storm those.

Friendly Fire:
_Reduce damage is a very good idea.
_The collision is so annoying but is something that can’t be fixed. (Maybe less twitchy?)

I’m not looking for an advantage, i’m just looking for a solution to make the game fair.

Eh, it just sounds like you’re salty. That’s ok, but non of what you’re suggesting makes the game objectively better.
The issue is there’s casuals playing ranked, and there’s tryhards playing ranked, and sometimes you just lose by default. A 5v5 queue sounds cool, but it’s questionable because of the amount of 5v5 players what the queue times would be and if it’d work at all. I don’t know how it works in LoL, but they have a super high player count. IMO The devs should go ahead and implement it just to see if it works. Maybe people will have to play 5v5 at high times only?
A surrender option would be nice to avoid having to waste your time.

Queued Australia (during our peak time) - 20 minutes: nothing.
Queued Asia (would likely be just before Asia’s peak time) - 10 minutes: nothing.
Queued North America - 6 minutes: nothing.

At least it gave me time to do some exercise and a little cleaning.

Afternoon in NA I was able to find quite a few matches fairly quickly now. That’s generally when the peak amount of players are on.

It really feels like Australia and Asia regions will barely even have a chance of getting a pre-season trinket because we won’t even have a chance to play.

Afternoon NA is just not viable because of work and EU the ping will be too high (350+ is just not enjoyable).

Perhaps SD should implement an estimated average wait time based on other players’ queue times feature like WoW has for arenas/battlegrounds? I expect for Australia to show as “no data available” since we don’t seem to touch the mode. It would however help me decide whether or not to queue for North America though.

You are missing my point, i don’t mind to wait more if that means a fair game.

And btw, you got a surrender option, but i never like to use it. I just hate to surrender. xD

i’m going to try ranked today (solo) and update my experience. Maybe i was just very unlucky and salty.
