Last two days there has been a major upswing in the amount of wall hackers, trigger and aim botters.

Someone might want to get on that before we have another situation like before.

Yeah I ran into one trying to disguise it by using a shotgun. They usually come in small waves like this and hang around for 1-2 weeks then disappear indefinitely again.

Maybe the reason why I get called a hacker lately a lot for reasons like: “youre only watching at walls” or “fuck you fuck hacker”. (The latter one catched stickies for 3 rounds straight)

Another one of my favourites is: “Only 2 games and no friends in steam must be a hacker”. I sended him a Friendrequest afterwards to finally make my first friend but he denied q.q .

Every now and then i think some Sparks are hacking because turning around and meanwhile giving me an headshot with revivegun seems… off. But for the rest i havent seen many visibly hacking player.

Yeah…I ran into a Nader earlier today who seemed to perfectly place Nades at peoples feet better than the best Nader players than I’ve ever seen.

I am not a coder, but back in the days we played Serious Sam on LAN with friends. And one of them was a cool haxxor leet coder. He made aimbots and stuff and tested them. For example, the aimbot calculated the arc of the grenade launcher and snapped you higher than the target actually was, so you hit him. So it’s definitely possible. I have no idea if Dirty Bomb has such a expert aimbot out there, and not only the usual auto-head/no-recoil/ESP stuff.
I find aimbot the less worst hack to play against. Easy to report people by spectating them and recording it, and easy for SD to spot them. Sneaky ESP user are worse.

They exist for UE3. I’ve seen them on chivalry, even a hi-rez’s dev have done one for tribes:ascend for testing purposes… Achieving to air-shot fast capper with nasty angles with spinfusor/grenade launcher. So I would not be surprised to see that kind of thing coming one day or another.

@p4v profile pic is epic. where you get it? Also hackers arent as common as they seem. Usually if there are hackers in this game it is blatently obivous… While this anti cheat they have on DB is annoying to legit players, its actually quite effective. If there isnt anything vanilla (except UI and texture changes) then you’re kicked. Not saying you cant hack in this game. I envy people who are skilled enough to do so. THey have to disguise whatever they are using, and have it still work with this game AND try to cover that they are cheating to other players.

Just happened to me in one game.
After noticing ever shot was hitting me even during evasive action I became suspicious.

Spectated him and well what do you know, he had an aimbot.

Played this game for about 9 hours with my friend. We’ve both seen one or two ppl who run while strafing side-to-side, like they just permanently run. Also had one person was jumping side to side like lightning while he blasts me, I’m not sure if it’s wall jumping but it’s fucking retarded.

Overall we didn’t see much fishy, actually I’m more sad it felt like Planetside at times and we found cks/melee to be fucking pathetic. The airstrike shit ruins the immersion real hard too.

I don’t have it toggled, but can’t you sprint-strafe with toggle enabled?
