The Future of Dirty Bomb and competitive

As this game evolves, I’m curious as to when we are going to be able to purchase our own servers. Because I am already at the point to get my team rolling and start scrimming other teams.

As some of you might know I have played on top tier teams in Splash Damage games because this is my prime game style, such as Enemy Territory and RTCW and if you run into me in any of the Pub servers you might notice I’m pretty competitive. I also see a future in this game to get picked up by esports which is why I’m working at it now and getting team together now.

So I am curious to the plans of letting us purchase servers for Ditry Bomb as well as the mods we are going to be able to put on the servers for competitive play.

-I know they have a MM system, but it’s not that rewarding and also takes quite a long time to find a match.

If they do implement private services in my opinion they are most likely going to go with; allowing playings to create servers on the fly - like rooms in other games, or they will allow renting but only via themselves not even third parties.

Yah hopefully it will be something easy and let us add mods to the server such as OSP or Et.rpo like for their other games. plz SD plzzzzz

Don’t be too excited about those. Recently, devs are not willing to split a game community between comp and casual players. Just to mention a few, LoL/Dota 2, cs:go provide the exact same game experience to everyone, with built-in tools for servers in case you want to do scrims/tourneys. So, in a sense, I would be really surprised if they authorize modding on top on the game. And honestly, I’m quite interrogative about the necessity of this kind of modification if the game goes in the “right” direction.
