Apparently there’s a new Jurrasic Park game coming out
The future of Brink: DLC's
yeah, dinosaurs riding/flying/fighting could be cool part of gameplay.
as well as herding/care about them[who said “tamagochi” ?].
Or instead of zombies it could be crazy looters and rioters going nuts and the effort isn’t so much to kill them but to contain and protect them from themselves. (resistance) Or keep the ark afloat by cutting them off from vital areas (security)
Anything that changes gameplay - be that weapons, maps, new skills, etc - should be released for free. I think that that’s just respectful and common sense.
Anything that isn’t - namely weapon skins (as in new models that have no new stats), as well as skins for existing weapons (decals and such, if they are a aprt of customisation, and any other character customisation - should be included in DLC, but for reasonable prices.
Looking at CoD and $25 for a few maps is just insane.

You said it perfectly sir, cookie for you.
(P.S i dont have a cookie right now)
so new maps and new weapons should be free of charge, but a simple texture you’d want to pay for? wth?
I just want female character models. If I had to pay extra for them like in msg4 that would be ok.
New DLC preference:
Maps, maps, and more maps. I like to explore. It keeps games fresh for me. I like to learn new angles and chokepoints. I have yet to see a developer be able to release enough maps for me so I hope there is a DLC and I hope that the update system makes it easy to share new maps. I also hope that if there were any custom maps, “ranked servers” would be able to run the custom maps even if ranked scoring was paused.

They are no ranked servers in the ET:QW sense of the word so it should be all good!
I really hope they don’t release too many new maps or too many of anything for that matter, like I mentioned earlier 3 new maps 1+ year down the line would be more than enough.
Too many maps just saturate the game and I doubt you would be able to maintain a high standard when churning them out all the time.

Oddly, the console community tends to have the exact opposite philosophy. From what I have observed, they are all about the “more is better” mindset - more gamemodes, more maps, more weapons, etc.
A really neat thing would be a strategy map so you could detail routes and plan out cooperative strikes. Kind of like the one on the battlefield BC2 website but maybe in game.
Hey H0RSE do you think there’s gonna be a site similar to bfbcs.com but for brink?
I think it’d be cool if someone got something like that up and running and people that play together could plan characters to specifically work together and compliment each other.

Isn’t that a stats page? I don’t think Brink is doing the whole “stats thing,” so if something like that was available, it would probably be user run.
As for maps and stuff - those things will come with time also, from users.

I mean more so that people can share how they are progressing their character. And kind of form teams. So people don’t have to form a “clan” I don’t like the whole “clan” thing and like to do my own thing but think it would be cool if there was a site where you could collaborate and strategically develop a squad of characters together. Like you link a “squad” together and they can all see each other’s preferred weapons and you can plan to compliment each other’s playing style.
And it would be permission based like facebook. So people can’t just look at your set up. Only your friends who you add and they add you back and vice versa can share info. But I imagine it’d be hard to keep the way your guy looks updated on a database. That’s hard enough in the game right?

And then just hope to end up in the same server?
If you focus so much on complimenting a specific group of people what’s so different then to call that group of people a clan? Or did I just say a bad word? lol
