The founders pack dont give enought.

No, it’s not only cosmetic, it’s about a variety of mercs, with different weapon loadouts, abilities and, of course, outfits. BUT the varying weapon loadouts aren’t, or at least, shouldn’t over-power a player. It’s like your virtual army of tin soldiers, or those MASK toys from the early '90s. Everyone(or team) is special and has their strenghts and weaknesses, but no team of mercs is suppossed to outright dominate another team of mercs just by nature.

As “zatoichi” said above: It’s suppossed to be P4F(pay for fun*), instead of P2W(pay to win).

*the fun to test your new set of virtual toys.

He means are the difference between the in-game free to unlock mercs and the founders pack purchase to unlock mercs are only cosmetic, which they are.

You will not have an “advantage” over another player in the traditional pay-to-win sense, but you will have a slightly cooler looking model and skin(s) and have access to them slightly earlier.

Of course the different mercs with different abilities aren’t cosmetic, it’s just the outfits we’re talking about here.

That fixes alot.Yet there is always way to improve - since it’s possibly fun to unlock things through some performance effort, why not lock the mercs for all, so buyers can still enjoy unlocking? Say a merc for 50 5kill sprees(6 kills spree = 1,2 sprees then), and so on… Yet it is just about fun, since there is no permanent problem in balance… just temporary(how “temporary” btw?).

About the temporary balance problem: I’m generally against unlocking business in games, it does produce imbalance for new players, for example there was a slightly OP weapon in BFBC2(burst of 2 firing AR), that was quite long way to get it - and many ppl found it wrong. Me included - I prefer ET way: all the weapons available, or CS concept over unlocking business.

Conclusion - about fun, there is fun both in unlocking and in unquestionably fair game. Some wants the first, others prefer latter.

I have a lemon you have a lime… in the end they both are sour. Take that analogy forum!

Yep, that’s what I meant.

You will not have an “advantage” over another player in the traditional pay-to-win sense, but you will have a slightly cooler looking model and skin(s) and have access to them slightly earlier.

Shooting at cooler looking models is more fun anyway.

personally, I think the pack is good enough as is. I just need the game and maybe the early access, anything else is just extras that is not totally needed for me.
