The Flat Earth, a gold mine of cringe and hilairty.

I learned something the other day. People actually believe the Earth is flat. Like, today. I always thought it was a joke when people brought that up but no. They were dead serious.

Im not sure how to respond to that? Does anyone have any ideas? If you havent already you should go the Flat Earth Society’s forums and have a giggle. Its the funniest shit ive ever seen.

“It’s turtles all the way down, son!”

Once upon a time, while I believed the earth was round, I also believed we hovered in a dinosaur’s mouth. Don’t ask, mostly cuz I don’t even remember how I got that into my head. i was a kid then.

People also believe that Trump would make a good president. 2016 everybody, the year of the ridiculous.

Did someone say… 2016!?

Imagine how cool a book would be, that revolved around the Earth being flat, and the people on the outer ring of the Earth (the edge) would be the rich people or something, and the book follows someone trying to get there to meet his original parents…

People are stupid.
The internet facilitates them finding each other and reinforcing their stupidity.
The worst you can do is give them even more attention.
That’s why the US is a shitfest of stupidity. They really love giving the idiots attention.
Creationists, Trump, it’s all the media’s fault. If people would just laugh at them and call them idiots instead of making news reports about them nobody would take them seriously. Too late now.

If someone makes a stupid thing over here, the media goes like “look at this thing that’s really stupid” instead of freedom of speech bs. One stupid sentence can spell the end for a political career over here. That’s why I would never move to the US.

null
I think the Trump situation is more complicated than that. I think people might be voting for him because they know he’ll be a catastrophically bad president at worst, a lame duck (meaning he won’t do much at all) president at best.
I’m not partisan, I think all the candidates suck, but how Trump has managed to pull this off just creates too many questions. I don’t think it’s just stupidity any more. There’s a lot to talk about there but I won’t go into it. If given the option I’d hold my nose and vote Bernie. I might disagree with him, but at least he’s not the other two.

The flat earth thing though is completely beyond me. The proof for this was literally done B.C. And they have a really weird explainations for everything that just boggles the mind. They talk about NASA like its Satan. XD

I think the sun and moon are following me…

Did you guys know that “there are flat earth supporters all around the globe?”

Actual tweet I saw once.

When you’re language is dictated by people who dont share your beliefs.

No, it’s not. You’re overcomplicating things - it really is as simple as ‘people are stupid’. Trump isn’t the big problem here, it’s the voters - who do you think is giving that jackass votes?

(Ctrix) #12

Yeah, no shit. Turns out a 200 word post on a gaming forum isn’t the epitome of political discourse. I was simplifying, naturally.
