The Engineer is a class which specializes in building sentries. He can build up to 4 different buildings at once, from a sentry gun, to a teleporter.

HP: 125
Speed: 150

Primary: Rescue Ranger (A shotgun that shoots projectiles that can heal his buildings and pick them up at range and deal decent damage at any range)
Secondary: Short Circuit (A very short range weapon that deals little to no damage, but can disintegrate deployables and projectiles rapidly)
Melee: The Jag (A wrench that can repair and upgrade his buildings)

Ability 1: Construction PDA

  • Cooldown: N/A
  • Engineer can pull out his PDA to build a Sentry Gun, a Dispenser, an Entrance Teleporter, and an Exit Teleporter.

Ability 2: Objective Wrench

  • Passive
  • While Engineer’s wrench is out, he can do objectives 50% faster than other mercenaries and can repair & upgrade his buildings.

Ability 3: Rancho Relaxo

  • Cooldown: N/A
  • When the key “H” is pressed, the Engineer will sit on his mechanical chair full of beer, and those who are killed by him while Relaxo-ing will suffer a very, very painful torture…)

Please Splash Damage please, add this merc to the game and I will buy everything related to him for the rest of my life. I will also pry my eyes out…

Why should he have an extra ability to pull out the wrench when the other engineers don’t have to? Aside from Dome, the teleporters have no real place here because everyone can quickly reach an objective. The addition of a dispenser that gives health and ammo makes him a pseudo-medic/fire support and giving him a sentry gun will make Bushwhacker obsolete.

Creating and fortifying a nest will not last long term because of ease of destruction. Not giving the PDA a cooldown for construction is an easy way to turn something overpowered given that it is implied you have no need for an additional resource to build these things.

It may or may not be a joke but you have to take into account that some wankers (like me) will nitpick your idea to hell.

A teleporter-building merc seems interesting, but would lack application on a couple maps. The risk of teammates putting a teleporter exit at first spawn when you’re pushing last is a real threat in this game. (Humans are awful.)

If someone suggests a speed-boosting character for a similar reason, then teams are going to have a sanic-fast sparks or aura. While mobility is very important in dirty bomb, modifying the current system risks breaking games. - Just my opinion.

Yes it is. Go into the game and hit those keys in the same order and you’ll get what I mean.
