The Dockyard Update - Bug Megathread

Hey all!

With every new update there are often a number of unforeseen issues that sneak in. To address these as quickly as possible, we’re creating a single Bug Megathread so you can let us know when you run into them. This way, you’ll have a much greater chance of having them seen by our QA team than by creating a new thread (we only have so much time for bug-thread hunting!)
Before you make a post please do a quick check to see if anyone else has reported the issue you have experienced. If so, simply up-vote their comment and we’ll know the severity of issues.


Format bug reports: When putting a bug into the comments below make sure that you give us as much information as you can. If you can remember any of the events leading up to the issue it can help us find the cause quicker.

  • Type of Bug: Eg. Gameplay bug, HUD and in game UI, Frontend UI etc.
  • Description: Describe what the bug is and what happened in the moments leading up to and after the incident.
  • Video / Screenshot: If you can grab a screenshot (which you can do through steam) or a video recording of the issue it would be useful for us.
  • Steps to reproduce: List the steps that lead up to the bug. Try not to leave any information out, every step can be useful!
  • Result: What happened after you experienced the bug.
  • Expected result: What you believe should have happened if there was no bug.
  • Reproduction rate: How many times out of 10 have you experienced this issue? (1/10 - 10/10)

Copy the text below and use it to fill in your details:

Performance/Graphical Issues: If you are experiencing either performance or graphical related issues, please also add your System Specification to your bug report including: Processor, Graphics Card, RAM, HDD/SSD, Motherboard, Sound Card and even drivers etc.

We’ll be going through each and every bug which is posted here. If you don’t get a reply, don’t worry. Just rest assured knowing we have made note of your issue and it will be addressed when possible.

Type of bug: Gameplay

Description: your own Proxy mine become hostile to your old teammate when you change team instead of disappearing

Steps to reproduce: Play Proxy, throw some mines near teammates then change team

Result: the former teammates blows up after changing team

Expected result: Mines should have been disappeared

Reproduction rate: 8/10 sometimes you can do that sometimes dont. But enough time for some people to abuse it

  • Steps to reproduce: Launch game. Cry as you realise you can’t play dockyard when you want to.
  • Result: Ultimate frustration
  • Expected result: Being able to play a new map as much as possible.
  • Reproduction rate: All the time.

I Agree on that. Servers with one map only would be nice, especially for training.

But also it would be nice if you could choose between different maps when opening a new server. Always the same 3 maps when opening a new stopwatch or objective server. That kinda sucks within time…
Would be much better if you could choose between all maps or if the maps would randomly change.

Anyway back to dockyard bugs:

  • Type of Bug: HUD and in game UI
  • Description: EV Repair state not updated.
  • Video / Screenshot: did not take one. played a bit with the demorec function, put demo wont play so i dont know if it has been recorded.
  • Steps to reproduce: Repair EV on dockyard EV spawn. activated demo rec function before.
  • Result: EV Repair state does not change, until it is repaired.
  • Expected result: Should update during repair and indicate how the progress of repairing.
  • Reproduction rate: Don’t know, happend in 1/6 dockyard matches. (Did not played that much dockyard yet, and also did not repaired that much =D)

I already made a thread for this bug because this post didn’t exist then but I’ll post it again

  • Type of Bug: xp bug
  • Description: You get double the amount of xp than you should for finishing off downed enemies. It’s supposed to reward 50% of player’s max health but it rewards the full xp. For example: finishing Vassili gives 110xp while it should give only 55xp
  • Video / Screenshot: Don’t have one, but hopefully the description is enough and it’s really easy to reproduce it and notice the bug by looking at the bottom of your screen
  • Steps to reproduce: Down an enemy (a sniper headshot will do) and then finish them off with a knife or with another sniper shot
  • Result: I got more xp than I should have
  • Expected result: I’m supposed to get less xp for finishing people
  • Reproduction rate: 10/10. Happens every single time (unless a teammate damaged the enemy too but you still get more xp than you should, for example I finished a Fragger after a teammate shot him and still got 117xp)

  • Type of Bug: performance, visual, tech
  • description: game screen freezes but game can still perform normally. you only see the one frame though. alt-tabbing back and forth updates the frozen screen. windowed mode still works if you manage to change it in the options (it took a while) albeit awkwardly
  • Video/screenshoot: it’d be kinda pointlesss to upload a black screen
  • steps to reproduce: open the game in fullscreen mode
  • result: a frozen game
  • reproduction rate: 10/10
  • specs:
    CPU: Intel Core i7 870 2.93GHz
    RAM: 8GB
    System: 64 bit system
    Gra2x Radeon HD 6800 Series
