The DB Genome Project - Release 7.1

(DB Genome editor) #1

Finally got around to finishing the update for the Humble Bundle loadouts…

http://forums.dirtybomb.nexon.net/discussion/12972/the-db-genome-project-everything-there-is-to-know-about-loadouts/p1

Version 7.1 release notes:

  • Added Humble Bundle loadouts and skins for all affected mercs (all except Stoker and Thunder)
  • Updated the Layout Map and some merc’s loadout sheets (Arty, Fragger, Phoenix, Sawbonez and Vassili) to account for loadout deviations
  • Updated Augments Chart to reflect latest descriptions

A small note on the discussion regarding the “new” Phoenix loadout introduced with the Humble Bundle set: since there is only one instance of this loadout, I will not document it as a distinct loadout but rather as a deviation from the “normal” C72. I strongly believe this “new” loadout to be the result of an error since it shares 5 out of 6 elements with C72, a level of commonality that no two standard loadouts come even close to (well Redeye has a 4/6 pair, but that’s largely due to the systematic repetition of the secondary + melee pairs in his loadouts…). This is also not entirely new or unique to Phoenix since 4 of the Beta Fighter Obsidian loadouts have similar deviations with respect to their melee weapons. Those have also been documented as such.

I figure we can pin this for a bit to make sure people know about it! Thanks @Djiesse, you’re awesome.

(MisterMurder) #3

Nice!!

(xAvenger) #4

Way cool! Awesome job!

(BananaSlug) #5

a lot of work is coming… i hope i will be able to help :stuck_out_tongue:

(brennanfreak) #6

So you gonna be hunting people for certain cards?

(BananaSlug) #7

@Djiesse make a thread with information, that you are hunting cards, if i will get any i will send it

#8

I don’t think he will need help this time, heard he won a lottery and has unlimited skins

(DB Genome editor) #9

Been busy in RL lately, haven’t had a chance to start hunting yet. And sadly these new skins will break the current layout of the Genome: no more room on the loadout pages for the “original 5” mercs (starting with Proxy and Saw), so I got some reorganizing to do as well. The good news is that there are only a few mercs to round up every week, so the effort will be spread out.

(BananaSlug) #10

you can make new “section” with rouge an vouge skins

(DB Genome editor) #11

There are lots of ways I could handle this, but I want to try to avoid ending up with too many sheets for each merc. There are also a couple of other changes I’ve been thinking about doing and this may be the occasion to do so. Basically, I’m looking for a format that would minimize rework in the future considering there will almost certainly be more Special Edition and Obsidian loadouts in the future, and the new “First Edition” prefix that now appears on the cards’ names in the game menus also suggests some upcoming additions for the standard rarity levels.

I big rework to a more future-proof format is probably the way I’ll go rather than smaller changes that can only carry me to the next big update before it has to be changed again. I’ve been mocking-up some possible layouts, but the implementation will take a while…

And on a different topic, why do people have so much trouble with the word “rogue”?!? I’m getting flashbacks from old WH40K and D&D forums where everyone seemed fixated on lipstick… :stuck_out_tongue:

its just my English… it sucks

(bontsa) #13

Ssoooooo…Any need for ReV loadouts or you wanna figure out the layout first?

(DB Genome editor) #14

Layout update is in progress and I’ve got the first sets of skins, so I’m good for now…

(DB Genome editor) #15

Small correction to my previous post: I’m covered for the Week 1 mercs, but not the Week 2 ones (been abroad on business all week, kind of lost track of the event’s evolution…). So if you have been lucky enough to drop a Suspect skin for Phantom, Rhino, Sparks or Stoker, giver me a shout.

Also, I’m still looking for a Fragment Cobalt Aimee.

Edit: @bontsa I saw in another thread that you got a Suspect Phantom, I sure could use a screenie of that one.

(Brain_of_Britain) #16

I love this project it has given me so much information as to what mercs, weapons and augments are best for me thanks Djiesse

(doxjq) #17

@Djiesse I have the CR94 in suspect, if you want a screenie let me know. Also if you do is it still the same as last time? Ultra high settings on 4:3 enemy variant?

(DB Genome editor) #18

@rancid yes, same old settings. This Phantom has been very elusive, the folks who have offered pics so far have all had problems that prevented them from meeting the specs… :’(

(doxjq) #19

Ah no worries. I just got to work though so I’m not home for another 8 hours, but I’ll do it as soon as I get in the door!

I posted a proper screenshot in that thread you were referring to.
