Mouhahahahahaha ! +1 !
The day we have all been dreading...
So someone is getting paid for coding a cheat, for a game that’s not even released yet? Oh, and in order to advertise his awesome work he would post it on YT. Interesting.
Nah, that guy is just a noob who couldn’t cut it otherwise, end of story.
Easy to bust? Huh, it will only take a short time for them to start using a bot that yields 35-40% consistent accuracy. That’s how many of the uber-pros in ET and ETQW played to be never detected…
Regarding the banning - so what, he’d just register a new account in 5 minutes. It’s F2P…

Guess that’s true, but you usually have only so many e-mail addresses. Would those guys really waste all of those, just to get some cheap kills? It can’t be that exciting, can it?
Regarding “your” under the radar trick; that could really be a problem with no solution.

Everyone has an unlimited amount of email addresses. And yes, this kind of guys will take time to make as many email addresses and accounts for DB as they will like, usually those are quite crazy stubborn freaks/kids with some mental issues.
------ nvm ------
(I’d really wish that you could delete your posts in the closed forum.)
This user will be removed and banned.
Work on anti-cheat implementation, echo-analysis, kicking, banning etc. is not yet complete so I wouldn’t be too worried :)
I’m not entirely sure but I believe Youtube allows developers to make copyright claims against people who show in-game footage. So it may be possible to get any leaked footage taken offline as well. Same for TwitchTV.
Nexon could just demand your personal ID number from your ID card for the verfication process. Doesn’t the PSN already do this? That wouldn’t necessarilly keep people from cheating, but once they would be caught red-handed(or how you say this), there would be almost no way for them to start all over again with a new account.
3 is still better than infinite
But hey, maybe the kind of people you’ve just described are really that crazy. They may steal purses just for the ID number and then throw them away, including the money
The only way I see the futur for the moment is to limit server acces to some levels.
People with bigger level than level 20 (or more) can jump on the server, then cheaters can be caught before they reach the level you set. (I hope !)
Or (to an unsuspecting pal): “Oh, let me see your ID picture! LOL you look funny on it! (while memorizing all needed numbers/data from it)”

Just DMCA notice them to hell. What we need, is to develope better systems of control (not)

That is where demo tools and first person spectate come in.
Well everything comes with a bit of a trade-off, doesn’t it? For retail games it’s actual money and registering your game on Steam, etc. And with F2P games there needs to be something similar. Imo you just can’t have only the advantages of something. Your ID is already spread all across the interweb and it will be even more so in the future, but without yourself profiting from it in any way. Here you’d get even two things at once; a very nice F2P game, that looks great and doesn’t try to milk you like a cow for every little bit of progress, and #2, a certain amount of security from cheaters in said game.
I’d be cool with giving my ID, no problem.

I get it! But problem is, by denying gamers, you are not just denying gamers, but free speech, because ultimately the tech, and the speculation on how to utilize it and (deny) its inhenrent priviliges, comes to one!
