The Brink SDK

(Dolo_420) #1

I’m drawling a line in the sand here.

If we don’t get a working SDK for Brink by June 10 2011.

I shall begin drowning kittens in a bucket.

1 per day, starting midnight June 11th.

Captain Picklesworth’s life is in your hands Splash Damage.

Surely whoever painted that bucket could of found something more interesting lying around.

OT: If more whine threads were like this one, I’d be happy.

Maybe you get a SDK but a “working” one?

LMAO,dream on.

I think god kills more that that due to people “knocking one off” around the world… Hell I probably took out a whole species in my teenage years

Great post though OP…

Bananable offense.

(Pegazus) #7

Splash Damage loves Tapirs instead.

Maybe it’s a good idea already starting to work out map lay-outs with the quake wars sdk as I read that you could import Quake Wars map files into the brink editor (something I read a whiiile ago)

(light_sh4v0r) #9

Practice in the ETQW SDK should be useful anyway, if there’ll ever be a Brink SDK it will be similar to ETQW’s.
Which also means that brushwork will probably import just fine.

(Mustkunstn1k) #10

I will admit that an SDK would do a lot of good, specially since the game did not recieve 10/10 from all around. But I do understand that they want to sell DLC etc too.

This must put both SD and Bethedsa at a tough spot. They expected the game to be a huge hit and also sell DLC, but now they might have to abandon those plans.

(DarkangelUK) #11

Wasn’t the ETQW SDK released about 4 weeks after ETQW was released? Not saying the same is gonna happen, but well no announcement about the SDK isn’t filling me with confidence at the moment. Maybe they want the bugs resolved 1st before releasing the SDK.

(crazyfoolish) #12

Threaten to drown Tapirs. That’ll get their attention:wink:… Although you might need a bigger bucket.

(Seiniyta) #13

I think it was longer then a month before the sdk was released. And I prefer SD to fix issues then trying to clean the bugs from the sdk. I don’t want people whining about a SDK that doesn’t work half the time and people losing all their map making progress because of corrupted files :stuck_out_tongue:

There is no forum for Brink editing, and no official word on weather or not there will be an SDK.

I wouldn’t mind waiting if I knew they were definitely going to release one but the ambiguity forces my hand.
