The Announcer on Chapel Objective Mode.

Relatively the only annoyance I had during the closed beta was the presence of the near constant announcer during the mission which tasks the attacking team to deliver the container to the PDC? building. I believe during the 7 or 8 minutes of game time, I heard variations of “The enemy has the container,” or “protect the bloody objective” nearly every 10-20 secs non-stop. It’s just simply distracting and headache inducing.

I absolutely understand the need for a audio or visual cue to show objective possession, and I get that this is a minor gripe, yet is there a way to lessen this near constant feedback? I don’t know if others experienced this, especially when the teams were skilled and on even playing terms the back and forth was always occurring. I didn’t check if their was a way to mute the voice over, and frankly I would hope for a different solution then to alter the settings.

I’ve definitely been in games where I’ve gotten annoyed by the back and forth but on the other side was happy I knew what was going on. Thanks for letting me know how you feel about it  Any one else have any thoughts/suggestions on this?

Maybe a way to tone it down for competitive play? I know that If I’m in a competitive 5v5 match with my team and we’re all in teamspeak or mumble we wont need the game to tell us that one of us picked up the objective.

Just a thought.

This doesn’t bother me at all. I completely ignore it, and focus on the task at hand so I couldn’t care either way.
