"The Anger", operatives useless, ability stats chart?

Some operative using a minigun to ‘backstab’:

Unlocked ‘The Anger’ only to find it locked again after i respecced my level 20 - really once you’ve unlocked something it should stay unlocked (imo).

I also wish there was the black Anger mask, but maybe they’ll put it in when June DLC is here.

Operative class works pretty well. All of their grenades and special skills are unique and effective.

Operatives are awesome.

I’m best as Light Op, with Medic as a backup, and Soldier if my team really needs it.

(KAS--Will) #24

Yeah, Operatives aren’t useless man, you just need to use it. Their one of the harder classes to do well with… that’s all.

(pikasecks) #25

my point exactly! man itd be so much better if we had 16v16 games o_o? what do you think? why was brink made 8v8?

I’m crossing my fingers on this one too!

(A.i) #26

Op class was my first character that I’ve leveled to 20, after that I’ve created a 2nd one to do engineers build and it is less fun in comparison…operatives are tons of fun with cortex bombs to add, had 4 kills with one cortex few times

(pikasecks) #27

are cortex bombs that strong O_O ? man i wish there was an abilities damage chart, that would outline blast radius too

(A.i) #28

I don’t know the damage, but they usually kill a medium standing right beside you.

(pikasecks) #29

Also is there like an icon index or something? because a lot of the icons that appear on screen i had no idea what they meant. (for example when i got a sticky bomb attached to me, and had that red circle thing swirl around my crosshairs, and the first couple of times i thought it was a buff?)

does anyone else know what it means when you kill someone and there is that “weird circle thing fragmenting” between your name and the enemy? instead of your name / gun / enemy?

ive been looking around and i still dont know what that means.

(EdSoulman) #30

Operative should be given the speed Buff instead of medics. Then everybody’s happy.

The best way to play spy most of the time that I’ve found so far is to do this: Your first priority is to get a disguise. You can choose this from the objectives wheel to guide you to a fallen enemy. Make sure area is clear first then disguise. After this, change your objective to the Command Post side objective, capture, and firewall it. Next, change to engi and upgrade it if you have the skill. Then, change to medic so that you can actually be a credit to the team instead of wasting a spot.

Please go throw your keyboard into a nearby lake

(pikasecks) #33

LOL, RIGHT?!?! see what i mean?!

(Jak Swift) #34

Operatives useless? far from it, i spend most the time infiltrating there “hot spots” turning there turrets on them, capturing/firewalling command posts, laying caltrop sticky traps, spotting enemys and comms hax.

Operatives are the backbone of the operation.

(pikasecks) #35

can you hack a turret in disguise though? how is caltrop damage?

(peteXnasty) #36

Damage isn’t huge but that’s not the point; it is mental combat in a chokepoint or fitrfight, and its a proximity alarm when solo or defending. Place it on a side path and you know when someone passes over them.

And you break disguise to hack, but waiting for the right moment means you wont be noticed…a hack takes seconds at most and you can do multiple turrets

(Dopaminergic) #37

Well, I can tell you this. I’ve used caltrops a lot. I’ve never seen a single person die to caltrop damage.
