As far as I remember, FG42 in single player Wolfenstein is more deadly than Thompson and Mp40.

It wouldl be fun with a new weapon. For a start there could just be a model and some new sounds.

Changing the behavior and still balancing it out with the “Axis’ MG42” would be hard task, I think.

No he was joking and it was funny and also complimented your vast knowledge.

And it’s not as simple as just “putting it in”. Sound, graphics, stats, QA… it would be a lot of work. And what do they do after that? Someone else is going to want a new gun…

AK-47 as said in its game was introduced in 1947 so that would be historically inaccurate to have it in ET. furthermore this is a russian weapon :wink:
But that would be cool to have a StG44, which is the “ancestor” of the AK-47 :slight_smile:

I think MP weapons stats are completely different than SP ones for game balance sake.

At the most i think that the FG42 has no real interest in the game :

  • too weak in gunfight : 15/40/50
  • too weak while Scoped : 30/48/60

I think FG 42’s damage and RoF should be imroved a bit. To counterbalance this, i would remove the improved damage of FG42 while scoped, which does not have any real reason.
